USCG Signs LOR on Cove Point LNG expansion

The US Coast Guard issued has signed a Letter of Recommendation relating to the planned expansion of the Dominion Cove Point liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facility in . The Coast Guard found no significant environmental impacts associated with the increase in LNG marine traffic or the safety and security measures outlined in Cove Point’s Waterway Suitability Assessment. The Coast Guard evaluation now goes to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for consideration.
