IRClass' Expansion in SE Asia Underway

The Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) is gearing up to expand its activities in Singapore and throughout South East Asia with plans for opening two more offices in the region over the next two years.

IRClass, with a diverse portfolio of services across the marine sector, will be hosting the second meeting of its Singapore Advisory Committee on Friday 18 March. The remit of the committee, which is chaired by Denis Welch, Asia-Pacific director of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), is to advise on strategic growth opportunities in The Lion Republic and across the region. The committee includes key influential figures from the maritime and offshore sectors in Singapore. Senior executives from IRClass’ head office in Mumbai will be attending, including Mr C Sriramamurthy, Chief Operating Officer and Mr S Sinha, Chief Surveyor and Head (Operations).

The classification society is also organising a by-invitation event on the same day, Friday 18 March, and will be hosting clients and business associates from diverse sections of the industry for a presentation and networking dinner.

IRClass is a member of the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and will have a substantial exhibiting presence at Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) from 16-18 March in Singapore. Mr C. Sriramamurthy, Chief Operating Officer, will be participating in the Market Landscape: 6 questions in 60 minutes session of APM’s conference on Day One, 16 March, from 2.30pm.
