UK Hails Next Cycle of Exploration

The UK's 25th offshore oil and gas licensing round, intended to attract exploration investments and activity across the UK continental shelf, is expected to be launched at the end of January. The Department for Business said it was undertaking a strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of areas of the UK continental shelf (UKCS). The deadline for applications for licenses would be the end of April. Areas to be offered in the licensing have not yet been announced. [Source: http://www.thisisnorthscotland.co.uk]
