Great Lakes Group Announces New Management Hires

The Great Lakes Group announced recent new hires to the company’s management team: Thomas Rigolo – Shipyard General Manager; Kirsten Buccigrossi – Director, Marketing & Communications; and Emery Eiber – Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) Manager.

Tom Rigolo is a senior shipbuilding executive with more than 25 years of experience gained from hands-on engineering and high-level leadership roles at several U.S. shipyards. Rigolo is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and has a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy.

Kirsten Buccigrossi has over 12 years of operations, logistics and marketing experience in the maritime industry both afloat and ashore. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Akron and a 100-ton Masters License. Her focus will be on building upon the company’s brand, presence and business development opportunities through strategic marketing, public relations, business consulting and project management.

Emery Eiber is a 2015 State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a USCG 3rd Assistant Engineers license. He has gained a variety of marine engineering and vessel operations experience during his work as a 3rd Assistant Engineering Officer for The Interlake Steamship Company and as a Project Engineer Intern with Great Lakes Shipyard.
