Icebreaker Moskva Equipped with AMOS

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

December 18, 2008

The newbuilt icebreaker Moskva delivered to FSUE Rosmorport by the shipyard Baltiyskiy Zavod on December 11, 2008 has been equipped with the AMOS system.

Icebreaker Moskva is the first electro-diesel power icebreaker built in Russia over the past 34 years. The delivery of the icebreaker Moskva is a significant event for the Russian shipping industry and we are proud that SpecTec Russia representatives have taken part in this event.

The icebreaker was supplied with modern technical equipment which meets the highest standards.

In 2007, SpecTec was chosen by FSUE Rosmorport for the delivery of a maintenance system for two icebreakers built at Baltiyskiy Zavod shipyard. The system was fully implemented onboard the icebreaker Moskva by the time the vessel was delivered to the owner. There are five AMOS workstations onboard connected to one server. SpecTec has created the database and trained the crew members.

The cooperation of SpecTec and Rosmorport will continue with an AMOS installation on the second icebreaker, the Saint-Petersburg, which is under construction at Baltiyskiy Zavod now and to Rosmorport offices. AMOS system will fully integrate Rosmorport vessels with its managing offices.
