Corvus Energy Implements Greenlight Innovation’s Sophisticated Battery Test Equipment. Greenlight Innovation’s End-of-the-Line Test System to Verify Lithium Polymer Battery Performance.

Corvus Energy Ltd., a leading lithium-polymer battery pack integrator, announced today that it has selected Greenlight Innovation’s sophisticated and reliable battery test equipment to verify the performance of its 6.5 kWh battery modules at multiple manufacturing sites.

Corvus Energy manufactures and integrates energy solutions for commercial and industrial applications, ranging from airport ground handling equipment to truck APUs, marine hybrid, and heavy industrial applications. Corvus Energy prides itself on providing reliable diesel-scale power to the marine, energy, and transportation sectors, among other key industries.

Each Corvus Energy module includes a proprietary battery management system that monitors the battery and its Dow Kokam lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt-based cells. Greenlight Innovation’s control and automation software provides a flexible and convenient platform to integrate the necessary building blocks of a complete battery test system, including a range of power sink and source devices, environmental chambers, air, and liquid thermal management modules and data acquisition systems.

The Greenlight control software enables expansion to multiple independent test channels, and additional modules can be added for importing drive cycles, remote monitoring, and data analysis. Its custom automation language allows users to quickly program dynamic test cycles, which can be saved in a library, to ensure repeatable results. Sub-routine capability enables the test station to detect abnormal conditions and automatically perform diagnostics, without operator intervention, allowing intelligent but safe continuous operation.

“Greenlight Innovation has provided Corvus Energy with a sophisticated and fully integrated battery testing system, and has given us with the ability to manage risk through their unique machinery. We depend on their product and the quality they build into it for every battery we produce,” said Brent Perry, CEO and president of Corvus Energy. “We depend on Greenlight Innovation’s product and the quality they build into it for all of our batteries.” Greenlight Innovation’s President and CEO, Ross Bailey further stated: “Greenlight’s flexible and automated battery test system is ideally suited for Corvus Energy’s battery pack quality assurance application.”
