MOL Revamps NKX India-Karachi Service

ROTTERDAM, 27 April 2011 – Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Koichi Muto) announced the upgrading of its Singapore-Nhava Sheva-Karachi Service (NKX) into two new loops: “NCX” linking China and Nhava Sheva, and KPX connecting Singapore with Pipavav and Karachi.
 
NCX will be MOL’s first direct service linking Shanghai and Shenzhen, China, and Nhava Sheva on India’s west coast. With NCX, MOL will enhance its service network by offering stable and high-quality direct service to meet rapid growth in the Chinese and Indian markets.
 
KPX will serve Karachi, Pakistan, and Pipavav on India’s west coast.
 
The service will not only cater to increasing demand in Pakistan’s market, but also cover the port of Pipavav, which has great potential as a gateway port to India’s growing inland markets.
 
MOL will continue to enhance its service network in emerging market in accordance with the midterm management plan “GEAR UP! MOL.”
