Showcasing the latest technology in shipbuilding, ship repair, shipping, marine engineering & equipment, this international exhibition will feature some 300 participating and represented companies from some 14 countries & regions such as Singapore, the Netherlands, Denmark, Hongkong, Germany, Finland, Norway, India, Japan, England, Korea, Italy, US and China.

The expo will be held from 26-28 November 2008 at the Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre in .

As ’s shipbuilding industry in the Pearl River Delta continues to advance, maritime exhibitions become more imperative to industry players in establishing their market presence. In the first 3 quarters of 2007, a rise of more than 40% in the shipbuilding output has been recorded amounting to some 12 million DWT. In addition, new shipbuilding orders in has also escalated to an astonishing growth rate of 120% from a year earlier.

INMEX China is also well-supported and endorsed by relevant industry associations and organizations such as the China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Association, Holland Marine Equipment, The Hongkong Institute of Marine Technology, Indian National Shipowners’ Association, The Association of Norwegian Maritime Exporters, Singapore Ship Chandlers Association and Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers Singapore.

Held concurrently with INMEX China are various seminars /workshops as well as the INMEX China Maritime Forum which presents the developments of ’s shipping and shipbuilding industry and the impact of the global economic slowdown on the maritime industry.

One of the highlights of this year’s show is the exclusive site visit to ’s 3 largest shipbuilding base, the CSSC Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding Co, Ltd.

Now on its third successful edition, INMEX China will also host some 1,000 qualified representatives from shipyards and ship owners through the Hosted Buyers Program. INMEX China 2008 is projected to welcome an estimated of 10,000 trade visitors and buyers across the 12,000 SQM exhibition area.
