According to AP, Greek shipping company Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. plans to negotiate a takeover of Belgium-based shipper Kleimar NV, which does a key business transporting cargo to China.
An initial agreement with Kleimar provides Navios with an exclusive negotiation period to acquire all the outstanding shares of Kleimar.
Navios ships iron ore, coal and grain. The company's stock closed up 3 cents to $5.37 on the Nasdaq.
