Mammoet Wins Costain Partner of the Year

Engineered heavy lifting and transport company Mammoet won the Costain “Achieving Excellence” Award for Supply Chain Partner of the Year 2013.

On February 6, a team representing Mammoet attended the annual Costain Awards Ceremony. The company had been nominated for this award on the back of their continued excellence during the execution of the Evap D Project at the Sellafield Nuclear site.

Mammoet received the award for their contribution in the construction of a new evaporator unit at the nuclear reprocessing site of Sellafield, assisting with the transportation, lifting and installation of 11 modules. Mammoet’s tailor-made four-way gantry system ensured a safe approach and saved two months construction time.

Mammoet’s involvement in the project has spanned over five years, from their early involvement in an engineering study in mid-2008 through to the completion of the site execution in late 2013.
