Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured a contract with Petrobras for its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Normand Turquesa.The four-year contract, subject to board approval, is scheduled to begin in February 2026.The current contract for Normand Turquesa has been extended by nine months and runs until start of new contract.According to Solstad, the vessel will now be fully committed until February 2030.Normand Turquesa AHTS is of UT 722 L design, built in 2007. The Vessel is 80.4 meters long with the breadth of 18 meters.

Green Yard Kleven and the Brazilian shipowner Oceanica have signed a contract to convert the vessel Oceanicasub XVII from an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel to a ship capable of performing Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations.Oceanicasub XVII will be equipped with mezzanine decks for ROV equipment, extended crew capacity, and areas for charterers. Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has sold two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, securing a profit of approximately $7.1 million for the transaction.The AHTS vessels, Far Sound and Far Scimitar, have been in layup in Asia since 2016 and 2018.Fars Sound is a 2007-built AHTS, with the length of 78.1 meters and of UT 712 L design.Far Scimitar is of the same design, with 78.3 length. It was built in 2008.The sale was made through Solstad Reder, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solstad Maritime Holding.Delivery of the vessels to the new owner took place on February 23, 2024.
