Project, breakbulk and heavylift cargo transporter Intermarine, LLC said its president and CEO, Al Stanley, has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. Stanley was succeeded by Andre Grikitis, who assumed the role of President & CEO of Intermarine, LLC and Industrial Maritime Carriers, LLC and is responsible for the international flag services. Additionally, Will Terrill has assumed the role of president and CEO of US Ocean, LLC and is responsible for the company’s U.S. Flag services.

Intermarine, LLC announced the July delivery of the M/V Industrial Skipper from Shandong Huanghai shipyard in Rongcheng, China. The ship transported modules to Corpus Christi, Texas, for her maiden voyage. The 12,500 DWT, 147 meter, Ecolift 500 vessel features two cranes with a combined lifting capacity of 500 metric tons. Designed to be more ecologically friendly, the Ecolift 500 fleet boasts reduced consumption and lowered greenhouse emissions all while complying with the latest waste water requirements and ECA zone fuel requirements.

Project, breakbulk and heavy lift cargo transporter Intermarine, LLC added a heavy lift ship, Industrial Grace, to its fleet. Industrial Grace is a P2 type vessel  - 19,450 dwt super heavylifter with two 700-ton cranes for a combined 1,400 ton lifting capacity. The ship recently underwent its five-year dry-docking in Bremen, Germany, and has joined the fleet as of August 10. Industrial Grace is the fourth G-Class ship to enter Intermarine’s “Fleet of the Future” in 2015, following the Globe, Grand and Glory. The shipper’s “Fleet of the Future” also includes a newbuild program for the construction and delivery of more than 20 ships from 2016 to 2018.

Intermarine, LLC, a transporter of project, breakbulk and heavy lift cargo, has established a physical presence in Turkey with the opening of an office in Istanbul. The new branch will operate as part of the company’s Worldwide division, offering identical breakbulk, heavy-lift cargo chartering services to the company’s existing trade lanes. In addition to the Caspian Sea, the location will provide service to the Persian Gulf, Far East, Americas; and West and South Africa. Transporter of project, breakbulk and heavy lift cargoes, Intermarine, LLC, has begun “Fleet of the Future” deliveries with the addition and maiden voyage of the newbuild Industrial Grand. The 20,000 DWT, 545 foot multipurpose vessel Industrial Grand features three cranes with a combined lifting capacity of up to 900 metric tons. It is the first of 20 new eco-friendly lifters that will join Intermarine’s core fleet during the next 30 months. The vessel will travel from Shanghai, China, to the U.S. Gulf Coast to deliver a large and complex petrochemical processing tower.

Intermarine, LLC, has officially opened its state of the art Operations Center at Industrial Terminal, the leading breakbulk terminal on the Houston Ship Channel. They say that this landmark building is the only office building of its kind on the Ship Channel and houses Intermarine's entire technical, operations, traffic and terminal teams. The Operations Center is located at 14035 Industrial Road in Houston, Texas, and is a five story, 13,311 square foot building just 200 feet from the Houston Ship Channel.

Intermarine & Scan-Trans unite to head for a leadership position in project & heavy lift cargo transportation. Danish Scan-Trans Holding A/S and U.S. based Intermarine, LLC announce a stock transaction. The two companies will create a platform for premier services in project and heavylift cargo transportation worldwide. The companies will merge their operations under the Intermarine name. By consolidating the Scan-Trans and Intermarine fleets, the Company will expand its customer coverage with more than 50 multipurpose and heavylift vessels with lifting capacities of up to 800 metric tons. The two companies are a perfect and complementary match for each other with little overlap.
