AVEVA, Capgemini Bolster Global Alliance

AVEVA and Capgemini today announced the signing of a global alliance agreement, which the companies expect will benefit asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, process, power, marine and transport infrastructure. Building upon the alliance’s capabilities, customers will be able to achieve increased efficiency in construction, revamp and modification projects, as well as to extend the life of, and improve the integrity of operational information in, existing assets. New AVEVA ISM Bridges the Gap

AVEVA launches a new application for governing asset information using a standards-based methodology. AVEVA announced the launch of AVEVA Information Standards Manager (AVEVA ISM), a software product that enables both EPC contractors and asset Owner Operators to achieve greater control over critical engineering information across their projects and enterprises. It does this by rationalising existing class libraries and imposing consistent and compliant standards that improve information quality and reduce both project and operational risk. AVEVA ISM can be rapidly deployed and is fully compatible with software systems from other vendors.

KBR Extends Contract with AVEVA

AVEVA today announced that KBR, a global engineering, construction and services company, has substantially extended its utilization of AVEVA technology, which includes the selection of AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D). The new contract enables KBR to deploy AVEVA E3D along with an increased number of AVEVA solutions on major capital projects around the world. “We have a long standing relationship with AVEVA and we expect that AVEVA E3D will give us additional capabilities and flexibility to meet the needs of our customers,” said Farhan Mujib, Executive Vice President, KBR Operations.

TEPNG Integrates AVEVA Engineering & Design

AVEVA announced that TOTAL E&P Nigeria Ltd. (TEPNG) has adopted AVEVA’s Engineering & Design solutions as part of an Integrated Engineering & Design approach. TEPNG is the operator of a joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The Company has invested in acquired licenses for AVEVA PDMS, AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagrams and AVEVA Review and has fully implemented the software across its local site modifications and repair projects. “This investment in AVEVA’s solutions demonstrates the value our products deliver to Owner Operators engaged in complex engineering projects,” said Fredy Ktourza, Senior Vice President, Western Europe and Africa, AVEVA.

Genpro Increases Investment in Aveva Software

Rio de Janeiro – Genpro announced Genpro Engenharia S.A. has made a significant new investment in AVEVA PDMS software, after achieving substantial engineering and business benefits from its existing implementation. A key reason for GENPRO’s selection of PDMS is the software’s ability to easily interface with other engineering disciplines, while delivering the highest possible production output. The result has been improved design quality and shorter project schedules, which has led directly to GENPRO’s new investment in additional PDMS licenses. GENPRO will be using AVEVA PDMS on a number of large projects in the rapidly-growing Brazilian chemical, petrochemical and nuclear sectors.

AVEVA Expands in Korea

AVEVA opened a new office in Seoul, Korea, that incorporates a dedicated product training center, following an increased demand for AVEVA solutions. The office will also host sales, marketing, product support, and administration functions for AVEVA customers in Korea. “This new office, in particular the product training centre, enables AVEVA to offer a better service to our customers”, said EunJoo Park, Senior Executive Vice President of Korea and Japan division, AVEVA. “We can vastly increase the number of participants at this new training centre, as well as host more meetings. AVEVA has had offices in Korea for over ten years. In this time we have seen an increased demand for trained users in AVEVA products and solutions across the Plant and Marine industries.

Sredne-Nevsky, Aveva Signs Contract

Aveva (LSE:AVV), the leading supplier of engineering IT systems for the plant and marine industries announced the signing of a $1.3m contract with Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant (SNSP), Russia. Aveva solutions were selected because they are able to coordinate and manage data so that project costs and time can be minimized. The shipyard is able to quickly produce design and production documentation that will reduce construction time and increase accuracy in both hull production and outfitting construction. Using Aveva solutions also cuts down construction costs by more effectively managing the pre-assembly production documentation for each step of the building process.

AVEVA to Acquire Tribon Solutions AB

AVEVA Group, has announced the proposed acquisition of Tribon Solutions AB. Since 1967, AVEVA, formerly known as Cadcentre, has been providing IT solutions and services to the process, power and offshore industries. A recent survey of all CAD designed facilities in the North Sea shows a large proportion of all Crude Oil production in that region is processed by facilities designed with AVEVA Solutions. Similar figures relate to the global power, petrochemical and pulp and paper industries. Marine design, specifically that of hulls and other floating structures, poses specific challenges and practices not seen in plant design or ship outfitting -- sectors in which AVEVA already has established strength.

New Century Shipbuilding Acquires AVEVA Solution

AVEVA, a supplier of engineering IT solutions for the process, power, and marine industries, signed a contract to provide its design and production solutions to New Century Shipbuilding (NCS). The contract means that two of the fastest-developing, non state-owned, local shipbuilding forces in China have now signed up to and are benefitting from AVEVA’s marine solutions. NCS, located southeast of Jingjiang, will utilise AVEVA’s software to enhance its shipbuilding capabilities on its latest project – the design and manufacture of a 4250TEU Container Ship prototype, for which delivery is expected in 2007.
