Bollinger Delivers ATB Unit to Bouchard

Bollinger delivers the ATB unit, B. No. 282 and tug Ellen S. Bouchard, the second of two 80,000 BBL OPA’90 tank barges and retrofitted tug to Bouchard. Bollinger Gretna, LLC, Harvey, La., and Bollinger Algiers, L.L.C, two Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., facilities, have completed the new construction of the second of two 80,000 barrel (BBL) OPA’90 compliant tank barges, as well as the retrofit and conversion of a Bouchard tug, respectfully, to Bouchard Coastwise Management Corp., Melville, N.Y. The 80,000 BBL tank barge, B. No. 282, is a manned ocean, clean oil barge measuring 399-ft.

Bollinger Delivers Ocean Sun to Crowley

The third of four Ocean Class Tugs has been delivered to Crowley from Bollinger Marine Fabricators. The Ocean Sun is DP 2, measures 156 feet in length and is rated at 10,880 HP. The vessel is outfitted for long-range, high-capacity ocean towing, rig moves, platform and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit tows, emergency response and firefighting. Sister ship Ocean Sky is preparing for sea-trials, and a summer 2013 delivery. Bollinger delivered the Ocean Class DP 1 designed Ocean Wave and Ocean Wind  4Q 2012.

Bollinger Delivers ATB to Bouchard

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. of Lockport, Louisiana and Bollinger Gretna L.L.C., Harvey, La., have delivered the articulated tug/barge (ATB) unit, tug Linda Lee Bouchard and barge B. No. 205 to Bouchard Coastwise Management Corp., Melville, N.Y. The double hull, ocean going asphalt, residual fuel oil Barge B. No. 205, built at Bollinger Gretna meets the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90) and is rated for 110,000 BBLs of product in sixteen cargo tanks. B. No. 205 measures 430-ft. long, with a 79-ft. beam and a depth of 34 ft., and is constructed with a flat deck, as are all, of Bouchard double hull vessels. The barge is certified ABS +1 Oil Tank Barge, USCG Manned Ocean Service, US flagged for grade A and lower petroleum products.

Vessels: Bollinger Delivers Supply Boat to Tidewater

Bollinger delivered the Jonathan Rozier, the third of four 207-ft., 4750 bhp supply boats to Tidewater, Inc., New Orleans. It follows the recent delivery of the Lousteau Tide and Deville Tide, of Bollinger's new 220 class offshore support vessels (OSV), designed for Tidewater by Bollinger Shipyards. Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport, La., has delivered the Jonathan Rozier, the third of four 207-ft., 4,750 bhp supply boats to Tidewater, Inc. It follows the recent delivery of the Lousteau Tide and Deville Tide, of Bollinger's new 220 class offshore support vessels (OSV), designed for Tidewater by Bollinger. The fourth vessel, Bourgeois Tide will be delivered in April of 2004.The boats are part of Bollinger's 220 Class OSVs that are designed to provide greater cargo capacities…

Bollinger Contracted to Build Two for Bouchard

Bouchard’s B.No. 225, sister hull to the announced newbuilds, B. No. 280 and B.No. 205, travels down the Mississippi River on her maiden voyage following delivery from Bollinger. Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. of Lockport, Louisiana and Bouchard Coastwise Management, Corp., Hicksville, N.Y., one of the largest operators of double hull articulated tug/barge (ATB) units in the United States, signed a contract for Bollinger to build two double-hull, ocean-going barges that meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90). These two additions will give Bouchard fourteen OPA’90 barges in their fleet. This addition to the Bollinger yards portfolio, will bring the delivered OPA’90 barge count to thirty-three when both units are delivered.

Bollinger to Build Two for Bouchard

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. of Lockport, La., and Bouchard Coastwise Management, Corp., Hicksville, N.Y., one of the largest operators of double hull articulated tug/barge (ATB) units in the United States, signed a contract for Bollinger to build two double-hull, ocean-going barges that meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA'90). These two additions will give Bouchard 14 OPA'90 barges in its fleet. This addition to the Bollinger yards portfolio, will bring the delivered OPA'90 barge count to 33 when both units are delivered. Following on the success of the recent Bollinger delivered ATB's, 110,000 barrel B. No.225 with tug Jane A. Bouchard and delivery of the 145,000 barrel B. No.242 with the tug Morton S.

Bollinger Delivers Barge, Retrofit Tug

Lockport, La.-based Bollinger Shipyards Inc. announced it has completed the new construction of the second of two 80,000 barrel tank barges and the conversion of a tug for Melville, NY-based Bouchard Coastwise Management Corp. The tank barge is a 399-ft. manned ocean, clean oil barge built to meet the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 standards. The barge has 12 cargo compartments and three separate pumping stations. The 112-foot Ellen S. Bouchard tug was also retrofitted with an Intercon C coupler system, generator upgrades and regulatory re-certification. Bollinger is also working on a 35,000-barrel and 60,000-barrel tank barge for Bouchard. Bouchard is a total-service oil barging company with 28 barges ranging from 25,000 barrels to 252,000 barrel-capacities.

No. 231, the first of two double hull, 35,000 barrel (BBL) oil tank barge units built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), to Bouchard Ocean Services, Melville, N.Y. The B. No. 231 is a manned, clean oil, oceans tank barge measuring 300-ft. long, with a 64-ft. beam and a depth of 21-feet. The barge has ten cargo tanks, with Byron Jackson cargo pumps, driven by John Deere engines.

Bollinger to Build Double Hull Barge for K-Sea

DBL 103 sister ship, DBL 101 on her first voyage after being delivered by Bollinger to K-Sea. The delivery of the K-Sea DBL 103 will extend the Bollinger facilities portfolio of OPA’90 tank barges to 24 units, leading the industry. Bollinger Marine Fabricators, LLC, Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has signed a contract with K-Sea Transportation Partners L.P., Staten Island, N.Y. for the construction of a leading edge double hull, ocean service, OPA '90 oil barge.

Bollinger Delivers for Bouchard

The Bollinger built 35,000 BBL tank barge B. Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C. delivered B. No. 231, the first of two double hull, 35,000 barrel (BBL) oil tank barge units built to meet OPA’90 requirements to Bouchard Coastwise Management. Morton S. Bollinger Delivers 100th Patrol Boat to Coast Guard

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport, La., and the United States Coast Guard celebrated a production and relationship milestone today with the delivery of Coastal Patrol Boat 52* SEA LION, WPB 87352, an 87-foot vessel of the Marine Protector Class, and the 100th patrol boat or cutter**, built by Bollinger for the Coast Guard. Bollinger Delivers Mega Mini Supply Boat to Seahorse Marine

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has delivered the M/V CAPT. RUDY to Seahorse Marine Inc. of Lockport, Louisiana. The M/V CAPT. RUDY is the first of a new vessel concept that was modeled from the success of the original Bollinger 145 ft. mini sup ply vessel design, which will provide greater capacity, better sea-keeping and has several design improvements. The M/V CAPT. RUDY is a 163 ft. mega mini supply boat named in honor of the captain of one of the first Bollinger 145 ft. mini supply boats, SEAHORSE I, Capt. Rudy “Uncle Rudy” Lefort.

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has delivered the M/V Capt. Rudy to Seahorse Marine Inc. of Lockport, La. The M/V Capt. Rudy is the first of a new vessel concept that was modeled from the success of the original Bollinger 145 ft. mini supply vessel design, which will provide greater capacity, better sea-keeping and has several design improvements. The M/V Capt. Rudy is a 163 ft. mega mini supply boat named in honor of the captain of one of the first Bollinger 145 ft. mini supply boats, Seahorse, Capt. Rudy "Uncle Rudy" Lefort. The concept design is a collaboration of Phillip Plaisance, president of Seahorse Marine, and Bollinger's design and production team.

Bollinger Delivers Tank Barge to Bouchard

Following the delivery of Bouchard’s B. No. 280 from Bollinger Gretna and the delivery of the tug Rhea Bouchard from Bollinger Algiers, the ATB set sail for Texas and its first load of cargo bound for the U.S. West Coast. A Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered, B. No. 280, a double hull, 80,000 BBL oil tank barge built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), to Bouchard Coastwise Management, Corp., Hicksville, N.Y. Following the delivery of the B. No. 280, Bollinger announced the signing of the sister ship, B. No. 282. The B. No. 282 will also be built at Bollinger Gretna, along with the previously announced 110,000 BBL, B. No. 205, a black oil barge measuring 430-feet long, with a 79-foot beam and a depth of 34-feet.

Bollinger Delivers Double Barge Hull

Bollinger Gretna L.L.C., Harvey, La., has delivered GCS 238, an Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA ’90) double hull, ocean service, oil tank barge to Gellatly & Criscione Services of Point Pleasant, NJ. Bollinger and Gellatly & Criscione Services signed the contract for the new building program in October 2004 and the vessel was delivered at Bollinger’s Gretna facility in July of 2005. Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Amelia, La., fabricated panels for the new 300-ft. by 64-ft. by 21-ft., 35,000 BBL barge and shipped them to Bollinger Gretna, Harvey, La. for installation of piping and other systems and final assembly. “The GCS 238 is the first OPA ’90 new-build in our planned fleet expansion.” said Alexander “Alex” Gellatly, president of Gellatly & Criscione Services.

Bollinger Delivers Barge to K-Sea

DBL 28 the 1st in a series of eight OPA’90 compliant, Lakes, Bays & Sounds, ABS and USCG certified tank barges delivered from Bollinger to K-Sea Transportation for use in harbor service in ports on the Northeast U. S. Coast. Bollinger Marine Fabricators, LLC, (BMF) Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered the DBL 28, a double hull, oil tank barge built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90), to K-Sea Transportation Partners L.P, Staten Island, N.Y. Following the delivery of the DBL 28, Bollinger announced the signing of four sister ships. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The 28,000 BBL capacity DBL 28 measures 297.6-feet in length, with a 54-foot beam and 13-foot depth.

Bollinger Delivers Heavy Load Capacity Deck Barge

Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Amelia, La., has delivered OC 4126, a huge 400 x 126.5x 25-ft. extra heavy cargo capacity deck barge to Otto Candies, LLC, Des Allemands, La. The rake bow, super jumbo barge whose open deck is rated at 5,000 pounds per square foot (PSF) enables it to carry extra heavy loads. Average deck barges are usually rated at 1,500 to 4,000 PSF. OC 4126 features a “skid deck” area meaning the wing structure from the fifth frame to the transom has been increased to handle a maximum of 4700 KIP static skid load.

Bollinger Delivers OSV for L&M Bo-Truc

Cheramie Botruc 38, Bollinger Shipyards latest new 191-foot platform supply boat that meets all new regulatory requirements including DPS1 and is under 200 gross tons. Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. delivered the first of two new design offshore supply vessels to L&M Bo-Truc Rental Inc., of Golden Meadow, La. M/V Cheramie Botruc 38 the first of two identical offshore supply vessels was delivered early this summer and the second vessel, Cheramie Botruc 39, will follow in late September after builder’s trials. The vessels are the latest in a new Bollinger/L&M Bo-Truc 191-ft.

Bollinger Delivers 55,000 Barrel OPA'90 Tank Barget To Bouchard. Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered the B. No. 250, a newly designed and constructed 55,000 barrel OPA’90 compliant tank barge to Bouchard Transportation Co., Inc., Melville, NY. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The announcement was made by Bollinger executive vice president of new construction, Chris Bollinger, “We are very pleased to announce the OPA’90 tank barge, B. No. 250, as another successful delivery to the Bouchard family.

Bollinger Delivers Barge to Progressive

Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., (BMF) Amelia, La., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has delivered to Progressive Barge Line, Inc., Westwego, La., its first new leading edge double hull OPA’90 Lakes, Bays and Sounds tank barge. Barge PBL 3002 measures 297.6-feet in length, 54.0-foot beam and 13.0-foot depth, with a rated capacity of 28,300 barrels (BBL). Elliot Bay Design Group performed the design and engineering package in support of Bollinger. PBL 3002 departed the Bollinger Amelia facility on October 31st and towed directly to the Progressive Westwego terminal to commence bunkering services on the Mississippi River, throughout the port of New Orleans and the Intracoastal Canal Waterway.

Bollinger Delivers OSV for L&M Bo-Truc

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. delivered the first of two new design offshore supply vessels to L&M Bo-Truc Rental Inc., of Golden Meadow, La. M/V Cheramie Botruc 38 the first of two identical offshore supply vessels was delivered early this summer and the second vessel, Cheramie Botruc 39, was to follow in late September after builder's trials. The vessels are the latest in a new Bollinger/L&M Bo-Truc 191-ft. platform supply boat design that meets all new regulatory requirements including DPS1 and are under 200 gross tons. Slotted between Bollinger's new 166-ft. and 207-ft. supply vessels, the new 191-ft. boat can be compared to 180-ft. and 185-ft. OSVs, which were considered standards for Gulf of Mexico (GOM) service in the 1980's and 1990's. In addition to being 191-ft.

Delivery: Bollinger Delivers the "New" Elsa Leigh

Bollinger Shipyards last month re-delivered the 254-ft. supply boat, Elsa Leigh, to Aries Marine Corp., of Lafayette, La., which is the new name for the former Seacor Clipper following extensive renovation at Bollinger's Morgan City shipyard. The new name is in honor of Elsa Leigh, the four year-old daughter of Courtney B. Ramsay, vice-president of Aries Marine. "This is the kind of project we love," said Donald "Boysie" Bollinger, chairman and CEO of Bollinger. Much of the work involved mechanical systems in the hull and replacement of about 30 percent of the boat's steel. The vessel was brought up to ABS DPS 1, FiFi1 and GMDSS Area 3 certification. Her two main EMD engines were removed and rebuilt by NREC in Houma, La., who boosted their power from 1,250 hp each to 1,500 hp each.
