Tidewater Names CFO, COO

U.S. offshore support vessel company Tidewater has announced the promotion of two key members of the company’s executive team, Sam R. Rubio and David E. Darling, to the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively.Rubio has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, following his accomplishments serving as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Controller since joining Tidewater following the combination with GulfMark Offshore, Inc. in 2018. Prior to joining Tidewater he served as GulfMark’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, after holding the position of Chief Accounting Officer for over 10 years.

Darling, Parker join Tidewater

Tidewater has strengthened its management team with the appointments of David Darling as VP and Chief Human Resources Officer and Mark Parker as Vice President, Corporate Taxation. Darling joins Tidewater with over 24 years of domestic and international human resources experience, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Gulfmark Offshore, Inc., where he was the Human Resource Director since 2007. Prior to Gulfmark, he served in executive human resources roles with Rigdon Marine and a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. Darling has additional offshore vessel industry experience as a Vessel Master and Operations Manager.

Volvo Penta Names Kelleher VP Customer Support, Training

Volvo Penta of the Americas announced the appointment of Tony Kelleher as vice president for customer support and training. Kelleher will be responsible to support both marine and industrial segments within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Kelleher was previously director of the marine leisure segment with responsibility for OEM and dealer sales and partnership development for North America. He has also served as head of the service department and purchasing director within Volvo Penta of the Americas.

APM Terminals Pipavav Starts New Ro/Ro Service

With 1,300 new Indian-built Ford automobiles loaded onto the Grand Dahlia on August 27th for delivery to Mexico, a new era for the Indian auto industry and Gujarat Port Pipavav commenced. The 59,217 gross ton roll on/roll off (Ro/Ro) vessel was the first to call Western India’s fastest-growing port, operated as part of the APM Terminals Global Terminal Network. APM Terminals Pipavav announced the inauguration of Ro/Ro operations at the multi-purpose port last June after concluding an agreement with Japanese-based NYK subsidiary NYK Auto Logistics (NAL) India for finished car export services and the construction of a new automobile services terminal.

Malcolm Elected to General Dynamics Board

The board of directors of General Dynamics has elected Mark Malcolm to be a director of the corporation, effective August 5, 2015. He has been appointed to serve on the Audit Committee. Malcolm is the president and chief executive officer of Tower International, Inc. (NYSE: TOWR), a position he has held since August 2007. Tower International is one of the largest independent global suppliers of engineered automotive structural metal components and assemblies for major vehicle manufacturers. Previously Malcolm worked for Ford Motor Company for 28 years, with his final position as executive vice president and controller of Ford Credit, from 2004 to 2005.

Brunswick Promotes Foulkes to Chief Technology Officer

Brunswick Corporation today announced that effective immediately, David M. Foulkes, has been promoted to the new position of chief technology officer, reporting in this additional capacity to Brunswick President and Chief Operating Officer Mark D. Schwabero. Foulkes also will retain his current responsibilities as vice president - product development, engineering and racing for Mercury Marine, Brunswick's largest operating segment. CEVA And Ford Expand Relationship in Michigan

Wärtsilä’s group-wide quality programme and the quality organisation will become Mr. Maguire's responsibility from 1, Feb 2013. Mr Philip Maguire, BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, will be a member of the Wärtsilä PowerTech management team and report to Lars Hellberg, President, Wärtsilä PowerTech. He succeeds Mr Osmo Härkönen who will retire at the end of January 2013. Mr Maguire joins Wärtsilä from Tetra Pak where, as Vice President, Quality, he developed and executed a quality acceleration programme.

Brunswick - Organizational Changes

Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) announced several organizational changes outside of the United States to its Hatteras Collection, makers of several brands of yachts and sportfishing boats. Effective immediately, William Naumann, who retired from Hatteras in 2006, will become chairman of the Hatteras Collection where he will lead efforts to strengthen relations with dealers, customers, and suppliers. In addition, he will also be responsible for government and public affairs. James Meyer, formerly vice president -- product development, supply chain and business integration for the Brunswick Boat Group, will become president -- Hatteras Collection, replacing Keri Theophilus. Both Meyer and Naumann will report to Dustan E. McCoy, Brunswick's chairman and chief executive officer.

Panama Canal Commits to Sustainable Development and the Environment

In a move affirming their commitment to sustainable development and the environment, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announced today that Administrator Alberto Alemán Zubieta and Juan Hector Díaz, Director for Environment and Security, attended the World Business Council on Sustainable Development's (WBCSD) annual meeting in Washington, D.C., as council member and delegate respectively. They joined chief executive officers and executives of major corporations and businesses, such as: 3M, British Petroleum, Eastman Kodak, Caterpillar, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Time Warner, all members of the WBCSD. The ACP joined the WBCSD in August 2002.

Bahia State Governor Authorizes Construction For Crowley Logistics

Managed Ford Amazon Marine Terminal in Bahia, Brazil for construction of a new marine terminal dedicated to the Ford Amazon manufacturing complex in Bahia, Brazil. Crowley Logistics, Inc. will manage all of the operational activities at the new facility, which Ford’s only private port facility in the world. The terminal will primarily handle Ford’s inbound vehicles to Brazil and outbound vehicles assembled at Ford’s Amazon plant. Crowley will also assist Ford in overseeing the port development during the construction phase to ensure that the facility meets both Crowley and Ford’s high quality standards. Crowley’s scope of services will include operations design, planning and implementation, as well as terminal operations management.
