Report: Germany's Nord Stream 2 Move May Delay Start-up to March

On September 10, 2021, the sections of the second Nord Stream 2 pipeline laid from the German shore and Danish waters was connected in a so-called above water tie-in. The opposing pipe strings were lifted from the seabed by the lay barge Fortuna and the pipe ends were cut and fitted together. Living quarters and eigh pipe rack modules have been lifted aboard the Energean Power FPSO hull as the construction of Energean's FPSO destined for the Mediterranean Sea progresses in Singapore.The FPSO hull, built in China is being outfitted with topside modules at Sembcorp’s Admiralty Yard, Singapore. Once completed the FPSO will sail away to Israel, where it will be used to develop the Karish offshore gas field.The LQ module lifted on the hull is 20 meters long, 40 meters wide and 26 meters high, weighs in at 1,727 tonnes, and has seven decks.

Buzios Oil Field Achieves Daily Production Record

Brazil's Petrobras said that its platforms P-74, P-75, P-76 and P-77 located in the deepwater Buzios oil field, the largest in the world, achieved record production levels on June 27, totaling 664,000 bpd and 822,000 boed.The oil company said it sold 764,000 cubic meters of diesel between June 14 and June 20, compared to 757,000 in the last week of March, before restrictions were put in place in parts of Brazil to try to stem the spread of the coronavirus.The highest-selling week since March 1 took place between May 3 and May 9, when Petrobras sold 879,000 cubic meters of diesel.Gas sales were

Norway's Oil Production Up in November

Norway's preliminary production figures for November 2019 rose in November from the previous month, beating official forecast by 13.2%, said the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).The average daily production stood at 2,016,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate in November, which is an increase of 235,000 barrels per day compared to October.Total gas sales were 10.0 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is an increase of 0.6 GSm3 from the previous month.Average daily liquids production in November was: 1 711 000 barrels of oil, 277 000 barrels of NGL and 28 000 barrels of condensate.Oil production in November is 13.2 percent higher than the NPD's forecast…

Pavilion Acquires LNG assets of Iberdrola

Keppel Posts Lower Profits

The Singaporean offshore and marine conglomerate Keppel Corporation reported a net profit of S$203 million (USD 150mln) for the first three months of 2019, 40% below that of S$337 million for 1Q 2018.In 1Q 2018, the Group benefitted from a S$289 million gain arising from the en-bloc sale of Keppel Cove in Zhongshan, China as compared to gains of S$174 million in the current period from the divestment of a 70% interest in Dong Nai Waterfront City, Vietnam and the re-measurement of previously held interests in M1 Limited (M1) at acquisition date.The Group achieved revenue of S$1,531 million for 1Q 2019, which was $61 million or 4% higher than that of 1Q 2018.

Indonesia Okays Empyrean Plan for Mako Gas

Novatek Production Rose 6.9% in 2018

Russia's largest independent natural gas producer Novatek said that total hydrocarbon production during 2018 increased by 6.9%, and had increased sales of gas."In 2018, Novatek’s hydrocarbon production totaled 548.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), including 68.81 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas and 11,800 thousand tons of liquids (gas condensate and crude oil), resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons produced by 35.1 million boe, or by 6.9% as compared with the twelve months 2017," said a press release from the oil-and-gas company.Preliminary natural gas sales volumes, including volumes of LNG sold, aggregated 72.12 bcm, representing an increase of 10.9% as compared with the twelve months 2017.

Energean Signs New Gas Sales Deal for Karish and Tanin FPSO

UK-based oil and gas exploration and production company Energean Oil & Gas  has signed a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with I.P.M. Beer Tuvia Ltd. (IPM) to supply an estimated 5.5 BCM of gas from its Karish and Tanin FPSO over a period of 19 years.According to a release, the contract is subject to necessary approvals and is contingent on results of the 2019 drilling programme, which includes the drilling of four wells in Israel and commences with the spud of Karish North in March 2019, targeting 36.8 BCM (1.3 Tcf) of gas with a volume weighted geological chance of success of 69%.The agreement adds between 0.265 and 0.38 BCM/yr of gas sales, commencing in approximately 2024.

Senex Energy Gemba Tests Successful

Australian energy company Senex Energy has successfully tested a gas exploration well in the Cooper Basin in South Australia.According to the Brisbane-based company The Gemba-1 well flowed 227,000 cubic metres (8 mcf) of gas per day over a period of a week."Senex Energy has successfully completed the initial flow test of the Gemba-1 gas exploration well in the Cooper Basin, with stabilised flow rates of approximately eight million standard cubic feet per day, plus associated liquids," said a stock exchange annoucement.Senex Managing Director and CEO Ian Davies said: “Senex is delivering on its strategy to become a material supplier of gas to the east coast market, and this Cooper Basin gas discovery adds another potential supply source from our growing portfolio.

Keppel Q3 Profit Falls
