GTT has signed a Technical Services Agreement (TSA) with the CMA CGM Group for maintenance and operation services for 49 biomethane and e-methane ready LNG-powered container vessels all equipped with GTT's Mark III, Mark III Flex and Recycool technologies.The agreement includes GTT on-site technical assistance for inspection, maintenance, repairs, operations and engineering services. GTT Training will offer its extensive training program for onshore personnel and CMA CGM sea going crew.

GTT Training said Monday it has reached a training partnership agreement with Wavelink Maritime Institute (WMI) to facilitate the delivery of GTT Training’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry related courses at WMI’s training facility in Jurong, Singapore.The partnership includes the installation of GTT Training’s Liquid Gas Handling Simulator ‘G-SIM’ at the Wavelink Maritime Simulation Center and the co-sharing of expertise.The LNG handling and operations courses will be geared toward personnel involved with LNG carriers, terminals and LNG-fueled vessels.

GTT Training, a GTT subsidiary dedicated to training liquefied natural gas (LNG) professionals and to the development of associated simulation tools, has obtained two approvals for G-Sim training software from DNVGL in accordance with their standard for Maritime Simulator Systems. Specialist liquefied natural gas (LNG) training and simulation provider GTT Training has been awarded a contract by Teekay Shipping to supply the G-Sim LNG simulator software into its training centers in Glasgow, Manila and Bahrain. The contract includes the development of a ME-GI propulsion configuration based on the Teekay LNG carriers that have recently entered into service. This new configuration will be in addition to the 16 LNG vessel configurations already available within the G-Sim simulator software. GTT subsidiaries, GTT North America, Inc. and GTT Training Ltd, announce the award of the first contract of its kind for the development and implementation of a comprehensive LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) training program for the 2,200 m3 LNG Bunker Barge currently under construction at Conrad Industries Shipyard in Orange, TX, following the order received by GTT North America from Conrad Industries in February 2015. The contract was executed with the barge's owner TOTE on April 6th, 2016, to initiate the program for training of the tug and LNG barge crew, which will ultimately be subject to U.S. Coast Guard approval. GTT Training, subsidiary of Gaztransport and Technigaz (GTT), has announced that it has received a contract to supply its G-Sim LNG simulator software to L-3 DPA Inc. and Chevron. The contract involves the development of a new LNG Carrier model based specifically of the new LNG vessels owned and operated by Chevron. The G-Sim software will also interface with the Engine Room simulation equipment being provided to Chevron by L-3 DPA. Used to provide hands-on, real-time training in the processes and procedures that must be followed to undertake and complete any type of LNG cargo related operation, G-Sim provides full simulation of all the systems on a vessel that are involved in the management and handling of the LNG cargo and maintaining the vessel in a safe condition.

GTT Training announced the expansion of the capabilities of its LNG Cargo Operations Simulator. Used to provide hands on, real time training in the processes and procedures that must be followed to undertake and complete any type of LNG cargo related operation, the LNG Cargo Operations simulator provides full simulation of all the systems on a vessel that are involved in the management and handling of the LNG cargo and maintaining the vessel in a safe condition. The capabilities of the simulator have now been expanded to allow the instructor to be able to select from 16 different configurations of LNG Carrier, with the selection being based on tank capacity, containment system and propulsion system.

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) announced that its new training center awarded certificates to the first group of delegates to complete a LNG Cargo Operations (SIGTTO management Level) training course. The delegates who participated received training in the cargo operations typically conducted onboard LNG carries in a course which is approved by DNV GL as complying with the SIGTTO (Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators), suggested competence standard. GTT Training Center announces that registration is now open for the first training course to be run at the new center which will take place on June 23, 2014.  The course will be a LNG Cargo Operations Course for ships officers and will take place at its facilities in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, near Paris. The course, based on the SIGTTO Suggested Competency Standards for Ships Officers, is open for up to six students and will be approved accordingly by DNV GL. Lasting for five days, students will experience a blend of cargo operations, (using a new LNG Operations Simulator), lectures, guided self-study and assessment throughout the course and upon successful completion will receive a DNV GL (SIGTTO) endorsed certificate. gtt.fr
