Vogelmann Promoted at Hatteland Display

Hatteland Display, made several sales level appointments. Goetz Vogelmann, a Hatteland Display employee for the past six years, was appointed as Sales Director Commercial. Vogelmann joined Hatteland Display after five years at LCD manufacturer, Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe. Knut Vidar Lauritsen, President of Hatteland Display, will also take on a Business Development role. Terje Akerholt, formerly Director of Sales, Commercial Division, was appointed as Sales Manager Commercial. Akerholt joined Hatteland Display in September 2007.

Hatteland Agreement with Offshore Systems

Hatteland Display announced it has entered into a Long Term Cooperation Agreement with Offshore Systems, Ltd., of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Under the terms of this contract, Hatteland Display will supply products from its broad portfolio of type-approved, commercial maritime and military-qualified displays for integration into Offshore Systems' ECPINS Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS, WECDIS) for navigation and situational awareness, and Common Operational Picture (COP) products that focus on the global situational awareness market in C3I applications. Among the products selected for use by Offshore Systems is Hatteland Display's new JH 22T11 MMD display, which is part of the proven Series 1 product family.

Hatteland Display Announces Extension of Agreement with FURUNO Norge AS

Under the agreement, Hatteland Display will continue to supply its high-resolution color displays for Furuno Norge's navigation, fish finding and communication systems. "We have been cooperating with Furuno Norge AS for more than 15 years and we appreciate the expertise, professionalism and innovative capacity of Furuno Norge AS very much", said Trond K. Johannessen, President & CEO of Hatteland Display AS. "Furuno Norge AS is very pleased to continue its long standing relationship with Hatteland Display AS through this extension of the cooperation agreement.

Hatteland Display Extends Agreement with Furuno

Hatteland Display has announced that it has signed a three-year extension of its cooperation agreement with Furuno Finland OY. Under the agreement, Hatteland Display will continue to supply its high-resolution color displays and computers to Furuno Finland. "We have been cooperating with Furuno Finland OY for many years and we appreciate the professionalism and the good spirit of Furuno Finland very much", said Lars Skjelbred-Eriksen, VP Sales & Marketing of Hatteland Display AS.

Hatteland Display will highlight its diverse portfolio of maritime displays and panel computers at the International Workboat Show 2016 (IWBS 2016) this week. Headquartered in Norway and with its US office in Vista, California, Hatteland Display is a developer of displays and computers for workboats, ships and offshore vessel bridge and automation systems. The company is expecting a busy IWBS 2016, following significant recent sales growth and the expansion of its portfolio with a unique flagship 4K display system and developments within its market-leading Panel Computer range.

FPEF II Acquires Hatteland Display

Ferd Private Equity Fund II (FPEF II) has signed an agreement to acquire 90 % of the shares in Jakob Hatteland Display AS (Hatteland Display). FPEF II acquires in total 90% of the shares in the marine display and panel computer producer Hatteland Display, from Jakob Hatteland Holding and CEO Knut Vidar Lauritsen. Lauritsen will retain an ownership of 10% in the company. Hatteland Display, with headquarters and production in Nedre Vats, close to Haugesund in Norway, is a leading payer within development and production of type approved displays and panel computers. The products are used by system integrators and can be found on all vessel types, all over the world. The company has approx. 110 employees.

Hatteland Display Widens Service Network in Singapore

Allied eParts Pte. Ltd. (AEP) with its premises in Ubi Avenue, Singapore joins the Hatteland Display service network after signing a contract with the marine display and computer manufacturer during Sea Asia in April 2015. Following the full training of AEP's Service engineers at the Norway premises of Hatteland Display and the set-up of the Service location including a variety of spare parts, AEP will be ready to perform warranty and non-warranty workshop repairs on behalf of Hatteland Display.

Hatteland Increases Capacity

Hatteland Display has introduced an advanced line manufacturing facility that greatly increases its production capacity at its Nedre Vats, Norway facility. Hatteland Display was purchased by Ferd Private Equity Fund II (FPEF II) on 27th March 2007 and the company is now coming to the end of an initial '100 Days Process'. The new manufacturing capacity is part of this initial consultation and is a sign of the investment that the new owners of Hatteland Display are willing to make to ensure that the company retains its position as the dominant supplier of marine displays and panel computers to systems integrators and shipyards.

NMD chosen for Australia's new Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers

Hatteland Display announce that our 20.1 inch NMD, full naval display, has been selected,for the C4 environment aboard the new Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers. The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) project, also known as SEA 4000, will provide the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) with three technologically advanced air warfare destroyers. The work is led by the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance (AWD) which comprises the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO), ASC and Raytheon Australia. The AWD project is one of the largest ongoing naval projects in Australia.

Hatteland Display Appoints Sales Agent in China

Hatteland Display (HD) has appointed Alphatron Trading (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. as its sales agent in China. The company will act as the support office for customers in China, in addition to providing sales facilities for all HD products. The introduction of a new product range (Series X) in spring of 2012 by Hatteland Display enhances the product offering for current and new markets. “We are looking forward to much better support for our customers in the region going forward," said Goetz Vogelmann, Sales Director CEE & ASIA of Hatteland Display.

Hatteland Display Awarded $1.2M Contract

Jakob Hatteland Display has been awarded a $1.2 M (9 million NOK) contract to supply TFT displays to CAE under a project providing for the systems replacement and upgrade of 12 Canadian Navy frigates. During the course of 2003, CAE will deliver the final product, which satisfies quality and reliability needs in extreme environments. According to Jakob Hatteland Display, the contract is a breakthrough for them in the marine market.

Hatteland Names Hawthorne as General Manager

Hatteland Display computers and panel computers has appointed David Hawthorne as General Manager of its American operations. The appointment comes as Hatteland Display's global growth continues in the wake of the introduction of new Naval displays, upgraded Series 1 displays and the 2006 launch of the sophisticated Series 2 product family. David, who is based in San Diego, California, joined Hatteland Display on 23rd October 2007, from his position as Business Development Manager at L-3 Communications RCCS Division. Previous to this, he spent time as a Sales Manager for Barco and has a total of 15 years experience as an Electrical Engineer at major U.S. defense contractors including Loral and Lockheed Martin.

Hatteland Display Relocates Norwegian HQ

Hatteland Display is moving its headquarters 30 miles west to a new purpose-built building with extended research and development (R&D) and testing facilities. The company has begun to relocate from its original location in Åmsosen to its new HQ in Aksdal on the west coast of Norway, in a move that aims to support Hatteland Display’s technology growth strategy and to ensure better links and shipping access. Hatteland Display’s entire Norwegian operation is moving to the purpose-built building on Aksdal Business Park.

Hatteland Marine Computer Wins Red Dot

Hatteland Display’s HT C01 computer has received a Red Dot Award and an honorable mention distinction in the Red Dot Awards: Product Design 2009. These annual awards are given to products from all industry sectors that meet high levels of design excellence, as determined by an expert panel of judges made up of design professionals. This is the second Red Dot Award for Hatteland Display, having won in 2007 for the new Series 2 display family. The 2009 awards were entered by around 1400 companies with 3231 products. Hatteland Chosen for Navy Freedom Class

Hatteland Display's Naval Multi Display (NMD), has been chosen for the US Navy Freedom Class LCS by Navantia, Spanish military ship building contractor. The Navantia system is an Electro-Optical (E-O) solution for the fire control system of the Freedom Class. It is a high-tech solution that is also selected by the American company Lockheed Martin. "We have worked closely with the Navantia R&D team in southern Spain, which has led to participation in various ship and submarine programs for local and export contracts," said Mehdi Bounoua, Manager Region South Europe, Hatteland Display. The new NMD meets the requirements of MIL-S-901D, Grade A, Class I shock, eliminating the need for shock isolation in the rack or console, as well as Mil-Std-167-1, Mil-Std-461E, and Mil-Std-810F.

Hatteland Display Celebrates 25 Years

On November 1, 2014, Hatteland Display celebrated its 25th anniversary as a supplier of maritime displays and computers. From the early days in 1989 and up until today, the company has delivered more than 200,000 products to system integrators worldwide.
