Cadmatic Names Detlef Schneider CEO

Cadmatic, a developer of digital 3D-based design, engineering and information management software solutions, announced it has appointed Dr. Detlef Schneider as its new CEO effective from October 7. 2024. Schneider will succeed Jukka Rantala, who has led Cadmatic for 23 years.Schneider brings years of experience in various roles within the engineering software business, having held leadership positions in both privately owned companies and listed corporations within industries closely related to Cadmatic’s operations.

CADMATIC Acquires Kymdata, CADS Software

CADMATIC has acquired Finnish software company Kymdata Ltd. including the entire share capital as well as IPRs to all Kymdata’s CADS software and its business agreements. The acquisition increases CADMATIC’s estimated turnover to EUR 28 million. With the addition of Kymdata’s 43 employees, CADMATIC will employ over 200 people.Kymdata's CADS Electric software is a leader in electrical and automation design in Finland and Estonia. The CADS product family also includes software modules e.g. for HVAC calculation and modeling as well as structural design.

Drydock World Dubai Signs Up to Use Nupas-Cadmatic

Nupas-Cadmatic has signed a contract for the delivery of 3D design and information management software to shipyard Drydock World Dubai (DDWD). The largest single deal in Nupas-Cadmatic’s history, the company said the contract represents its breakthrough in the international offshore industry. Nupas-Cadmatic’s delivery includes the design system licenses, system installation, user training as well as support services for over 150 simultaneous users of the software.
