Offshore chemical engineering specialist Aubin Group has formed a cooperation agreement with subsea flexible pipe specialist Flexlife to create an industry first in subsea integrity management (IM). Aubin Integrity, a division of Aubin Group, and Flexlife are working together to provide full-service IM solutions to the oil and gas industry. Under the cooperation, Aubin Integrity will supply its development team to create bespoke products and provide offshore personnel for operations.

Aker Solutions acquired UK specialist engineering company International Design Engineering And Services Ltd (I.D.E.A.S) to boost its asset integrity management services. Glasgow, Scotland-based I.D.E.A.S. has developed software and technology that is designed to improve the quality and accuracy of integrity and life time analysis for oil and gas assets. The analysis can be applied in all phases of the development of an installation, from design through construction, operation and life extension. "This technology strengthens our offering of asset integrity management services," said Tore Sjursen, head of Aker Solutions' maintenance and modifications business. "It can be used to predict the lifetime of an installation in a more effective manner.

Stork Technical Services, a global provider of asset integrity management services for the oil and gas, chemical and power sectors, celebrated a year of outstanding safety performance at its first global REACH Annual Safety Awards (Thursday, June 20). Hydrasun, a provider of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the global energy market, has secured a five-year contract with two, one year extension options,  for the continued supply of Flexible Hose Assembly (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) integrity management services together with product supply, to  Shell U.K. Ltd. This new award signifies Hydrasun’s commitment to long-term customer relationships, as it extends the company’s track record, since 2007, of supporting Shell with the provision of these services under the terms of a formal contract. The scope of work, covering all Shell U.K. assets offshore and onshore, includes the provision of hose management services, technical support, inspections and supply and installation of FHA’s.

The multi-year agreement will require the combined expertise of the energy and marine teams at Lloyd's Register to deliver a suite of technical services -- including integrity and inspection management, classification, verification and engineering support -- to help ensure safe and sustainable operations. There is an option to extend beyond the original contract period.
