BP, Total Pact for Adnoc LNG Supply

The state oil giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) signed agreements with BP and Total to book the majority of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production up to the first quarter of 2022.With the transactions, ADNOC LNG has continued to expand its footprint into new regions and markets, said a press release.“With these new supply agreements, ADNOC LNG has shown that it can react quickly and decisively to changing market conditions while ensuring the security and quality of delivery,’’ said ADNOC LNG CEO, Fatema Al Nuaimi.

India, S. Arabia in New Petro Relationship

India and Saudi Arabia have decided to expand its ‘energy relationship’ into next phase to include Saudi partnership in building additional crude oil storage reserves in India, a new refinery on the west coast of India and investment in retail sector in petroleum.Saudi Arabia is its second-biggest supplier of crude oil after Iraq. Orca-1 is Largest Gas Discovery of the Year

On 28 October 2019 oil giant BP announced a major gas discovery, Orca-1, exploration well in the BirAllah area off the coast of Mauritania.“The deepest and largest discovery so far this year, Rystad Energy estimates Orca-1 holds around 1.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) of recoverable resources,” says Palzor Shenga, a senior analyst on Rystad Energy’s upstream team.Offshore continues to dominate exploration in 2019, both in terms of the number of discoveries and the volume of resources unearthed.

Solstad Wins AHTS Charter Deals from Total

The Japanese multinational Toshiba Corp said that it has completed the sale of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) operation in the United States to French oil giant Total SA, letting go of an asset it deems risky as it continues to restructure. Total to Invest in Novateks LNG Projects

The French oil giant Total intends to buy 10% shares of the transshipment points of liquefied natural gas in Murmansk and Kamchatka, which Novatek plans to build.Russian news agency TASS quoted the CEO of the French company Patrick Pouyanne as saying: "We have just announced that we are investing in Arctic LNG 2, but we are also investing in terminals in Murmansk as well as in Kamchatka. This is part of our agreement with Novatek. To develop Arctic LNG 2, we need two hubs — one in Murmansk, the other in Kamchatka.

China Harbour Engineering to Build Berri Field in Saudi Arabia

Ensco to Buy Rowan in $2.38 Bln Deal

Offshore driller Ensco Plc said on Monday it plans to buy smaller rival Rowan Cos Plc in an all-stock deal valued at $2.38 billion, as it looks to expand its fleet and benefit from a partnership with Saudi Aramco.This is Ensco's second deal since OPEC-led efforts boosted oil prices in the second half of 2016.
