U.S.-based offshore vessel owner Harvey Gulf International Marine has said that Philip Luongo, a New York native and graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, has joined the company. After graduating Kings Point, Luongo upgraded his Unlimited U.S. Coast Guard License by sailing on deep sea vessels and operating production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. Luongo then transitioned shore side where he worked for BP for nine years, holding various leadership roles supporting the U.S Gulf of Mexico, Angola, Trinidad, Canada, and Brazil.
DOF Subsea to Help VAALCO with FPSO/FSO Swap Offshore Gabon

Island Offshore Nets $55M Worth of Vessel Deals
Island Offshore, a Norwegian offshore vessel owner, said Monday it had won several important vessel deals worth around $55,4M in the first few months of the year, with 25 vessels currently employed.According to the vessel owner, the total value of awarded contracts is approx. NOK 500 million (around $55,43 million) and as of March, 60% of available days in 2022 are sold out.Island Offshore said that the charters covered employment across segments including platform supply vessels, anchor handling, subsea, offshore wind, and light well intervention. "The international market development is particularly positive," Island Offshore said.

Former Harkand DSVs Join Boskalis Fleet
Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has added two 115.4m diving support vessels (DSVs) to its fleet, in line with the company’s plan to expand its subsea services offering. Singapore's EMAS, the operating brand of Ezra Holdings, announce that its Subsea Services (EMAS AMC) and Offshore Support Services (EMAS Marine) divisions have been awarded projects worth US$110 million. These projects will be executed in the Gulf of Mexico and the Asia-Pacific region. Festive Season Subsea Contracts for DeepOcean
Within days of eachother Deep Ocean secures subsea offshore contracts in Australia, and in the North Sea. DeepOcean UK, Ltd., a subsidiary of DeepOcean Group Holding BV, contracted by Statoil AS for the installation and trenching of a Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) System on the Snorre oil field in the North Sea, Norwegian Sector. The project represents DeepOcean UK’s largest ever contract award. The multi-year project commences in 2013 and consists of the installation and trenching of circa 500km of subsea seismic cables and associated riser in water depths in excess of 300m. Once installed, the large seismic monitoring array will assist Statoil in increasing oil recovery from the Snorre reservoir throughout the field’s life.

Kleven Orders 400-tonne MacGregor Crane From Cargotec
Cargotec has secured a substantial new contract from Norwegian company Kleven Maritime. Delivery includes a 400-tonne MacGregor active heave-compensated offshore crane with an outreach of 15m. A second smaller crane, which will have a safe working load of 100-tonnes at 9m outreach, is also included in the contract. The 400-tonne unit will have its winch installed below the working deck. The cranes are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2014. This order has been booked to Cargotec's second quarter 2012 order intake.
Technip Samsung Consortium Begins Shell’s FLNG Facility
Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd (Shell) has given notice to a Technip Samsung Consortium (TSC) to proceed with the construction of the first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility in the world. TSC will provide engineering, procurement, construction and installation for the FLNG facility Shell will deploy at its Prelude gas field off the northwest coast of Australia. Moored far out at sea, some 200 kilometres from the nearest land, the Prelude FLNG facility will produce gas from offshore fields and liquefy it onboard by cooling.

Technip Awarded Contract for Enfield Development
Technip has been awarded by Woodside Energy Limited a contract for the Enfield development. This field is located offshore Australia at a water depth of 550m. The contract includes: the recovery of an existing spool, the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of a new spool intended to enhance the field production, with its installation cradle and an associated umbilical. Project execution will be supported by Technip Subsea 7 Asia Pacific (TS7), the joint venture between Technip and Subsea 7 for subsea offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region. The project team will be based in Perth (Australia). Offshore installation will be carried out by the Rockwater 2, one of TS7’s construction vessels.
