Yilport Puerto Bolivar, Ecuador’s first deep-sea terminal, will soon have a new fleet of ship-to-shore (STS) and electrified rubber tired gantry (E-RTG) that set sail from Oita, Japan, on December 30, 2019.Yilport said in a press release that the cranes will arrive on January 27, 2020, and will be part of a fleet comprising 6 STS and 18 ERTG cranes.The cranes forms the first shipment of overall 6 new STS cranes and 18 E-RTG cranes order of the Terminal. Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has concluded an agreement with long-standing partner the global port operator DP World for 38 Ottawa T2 terminal tractors for the company’s Caucedo terminal in the Dominican Republic.The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q3 order intake, with delivery scheduled to take place during Q1 and Q2 of 2020.DP World Caucedo is a world-class marine terminal and free zone located in Punta Caucedo, 25 kilometers from Santo Domingo, which is the commercial and political capital of the Dominican Republic.Kalmar and DP World, one of the world's leading operators of marine and inland terminals, have developed a highly successful partnership over many years of working together.

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, is to supply a total of 16 terminal tractors to long-standing customer Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC (CTSP, part of UCL Holding).According to a press release, the order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q1 order intake, with delivery of the machines to take place during Q3 of 2019. Located in the Big port of St. Petersburg, Russia, CTSP specialises in handling all types of containerised cargo at its modern facilities, which include an automated control system that enables high-speed container handling on ship, road and rail transport alike.The terminal has seen significant growth in demand in recent years, with a 12% increase in throughput in 2018 compared to the previous year.

Ballard Power Systems Europe is providing technology to H2Ports project which will see Valencia’s port in Spain become the first in Europe to incorporate hydrogen energy in its operations.The developer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell products said in a press release that H2Ports project is aimed at facilitating a rapid transition at European ports from fossil fuels to low-carbon, zero-emission alternatives based on hydrogen and fuel cells.Ballard Power Systems Europe, subsidiary of Canada's Ballard Power Systems Inc.,  said that earlier this month participants held the first technical meeting of the H2Ports project…

The provider of lifting solutions Kalmar has agreed a deal to supply seven terminal tractors and six forklift trucks to the Rio Estiba terminal in Nueva Palmira, Uruguay.The Cargotec group company said that the order was booked in Cargotec's 2018 Q4 order intake with delivery scheduled to take place in Q2 of 2019.Rio Estiba provides port logistics services, including loading and unloading of cargo, coordination of intra-port operations, in-terminal transport, and administration and cargo handling in port warehouses. The company primarily handles cellulose products at the Nueva Palmira terminal in Uruguay. The new units will be used to expand Rio Estiba's existing fleet of Kalmar terminal tractors and forklifts.

Kalmar's new all-electric terminal tractor is helping the Port of Long Beach (POLB) meet its eco-efficiency objectives while satisfying the commercial demands of the users of the second-busiest container seaport in the US.According to a press release from Kalmar, a part of Cargotec Corporation, POLB  in California handles trade worth in excess of $180bn from 175 shipping lines connecting to 217 seaports around the world. Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract to supply a fully electric Kalmar Ottawa T2e electric terminal tractor to Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT) for a six-month demonstration period. The order was booked in Cargotec's 2018 third-quarter order intake with delivery scheduled for Q1 of 2019. A press release from the cargo handling solutions and services provider the Port of Long Beach, California, is the second-busiest container seaport in the U.S. and handles trade worth in excess of USD 180 billion from 175 shipping lines annually.More than 7.5 million container units passed through the port in 2017. Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract with  Malaysia-based supply and installation company Trac-Wheels (M) Sdn Bhd, for an order of ten units of Kalmar TL2 terminal tractor. The order was booked into Cargotec's 2017 fourth quarter order intake and it is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2018. The Kalmar TL2 terminal tractor is specifically built for Asia-Pacific and was launched to the market in November. Trac-Wheels will lease the new machines to its Miri Port and Tanjung Manis Port terminals in East Malaysia, further enhancing their capabilities of integrated cargo handling solutions. Kalmar, part of Cargotec, launches a new range of equipment designed to offer customers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region a value-based choice of the high quality, reliable equipment that Kalmar is known for. Based on Kalmar's proven G-generation platform, the Essential range includes reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts. In addition, Kalmar introduces a new TL2 terminal tractor for the APAC customers. The range will be introduced during the Kalmar Sales and Dealer Conference in Hong Kong on 28-29 November. The Essential range of reachstackers (DRU450-570) comprises four models, with lifting capacities ranging from 45 to 57 tonnes.

Kalmar has extended its long cooperation with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) in Malaysia by providing them with 93 terminal tractors for container handling. The approx. EUR 5 million purchase was booked in Cargotec's 2016 third quarter order intake, with first deliveries taking place in December 2016. PTP is Malaysia's largest container terminal and is currently ranked 18th in the Top Container Ports Ranking 2015. Last year, PTP continued to grow and expand its business in the region in spite of the gloomy global economic landscape by recording a total throughput of 9.17 million TEUs or an increase of 7% total growth as compared to 2014.

Kalmar received an order from the Port of Vienna's WienCont Container Terminal for three new twin lift capability empty container handlers. Delivery and start-up is set for April 2017. The contract marks the first order of equipment from Kalmar's DCG80-100 empty container handler range, which was launched in Munich on 9 November. The new range offers customers the best lifetime value currently available on the market with better performance, greater reliability, less downtime and lower running costs for the machine. Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has acquired the assets of the terminal tractor product line from CVS Ferrari S.R.L. (CVS), which has been part of Manitex International, Inc. since 2010. The acquisition strengthens TPS’ position as a leader in integrated solutions for ports and terminals. The existing range of terminal tractor models will be further developed and marketed under the Terex site in Lentigione, Italy, which currently manufactures Terex addition to heavy-load forklift trucks. CVS will fulfill current supply contracts with its existing customers. At the same time, TPS is taking all necessary measures to quickly integrate the new products in its sales, R&D, production and service activities.

Subic Bay International Container Terminal Corp. (SBITC) recently received and commissioned three new reach stackers and 16 new Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors. The additional capacity has increased the terminal tractor fleet to 23 units or 128 percent. The reach stacker fleet, meanwhile, increased by 100 percent. Each terminal tractor is equipped with a vehicle mounted terminal that communicates directly with the terminal operating system, Navis. The integration of Keppel Corporation’s offshore and marine businesses has contributed to a $16 million (S$29 million) swamp barge contract clinched as a result of the synergy of the offshore and specialised shipbuilding divisions. Furthermore, with the integration and Keppel’s sharper focus on specialised shipbuilding, especially support vessels, the offshore and marine group has also won a new contract worth S$21 million from Keppel Smit Towage for three 60-ton tugs which are due for delivery in mid 2003. These tugs, a utility boat and two terminal tractor tugs, will be deployed by Keppel Smit Towage in Brunei for charter to Brunei Shell Petroleum Company.
