Kalmar Bags Uruguay Terminal Order
The provider of lifting solutions Kalmar has agreed a deal to supply seven terminal tractors and six forklift trucks to the Rio Estiba terminal in Nueva Palmira, Uruguay.The Cargotec group company said that the order was booked in Cargotec's 2018 Q4 order intake with delivery scheduled to take place in Q2 of 2019.Rio Estiba provides port logistics services, including loading and unloading of cargo, coordination of intra-port operations, in-terminal transport, and administration and cargo handling in port warehouses. The company primarily handles cellulose products at the Nueva Palmira terminal in Uruguay. The new units will be used to expand Rio Estiba's existing fleet of Kalmar terminal tractors and forklifts.

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract with Malaysia-based supply and installation company Trac-Wheels (M) Sdn Bhd, for an order of ten units of Kalmar TL2 terminal tractor. Kalmar Rolls Out New Range of Equipments
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, launches a new range of equipment designed to offer customers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region a value-based choice of the high quality, reliable equipment that Kalmar is known for. Based on Kalmar's proven G-generation platform, the Essential range includes reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts. 93 Kalmar Terminal Tractors for PTP, Malaysia
Kalmar has extended its long cooperation with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) in Malaysia by providing them with 93 terminal tractors for container handling. The approx. EUR 5 million purchase was booked in Cargotec's 2016 third quarter order intake, with first deliveries taking place in December 2016. PTP is Malaysia's largest container terminal and is currently ranked 18th in the Top Container Ports Ranking 2015. Last year, PTP continued to grow and expand its business in the region in spite of the gloomy global economic landscape by recording a total throughput of 9.17 million TEUs or an increase of 7% total growth as compared to 2014.
Kalmar's First Order for Empty Container Handlers
Kalmar received an order from the Port of Vienna's WienCont Container Terminal for three new twin lift capability empty container handlers. Delivery and start-up is set for April 2017. The contract marks the first order of equipment from Kalmar's DCG80-100 empty container handler range, which was launched in Munich on 9 November. The new range offers customers the best lifetime value currently available on the market with better performance, greater reliability, less downtime and lower running costs for the machine. Terex Port Solutions Acquires CVS Ferrari's Tractor Product Line
Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has acquired the assets of the terminal tractor product line from CVS Ferrari S.R.L. (CVS), which has been part of Manitex International, Inc. since 2010. The acquisition strengthens TPS’ position as a leader in integrated solutions for ports and terminals. The existing range of terminal tractor models will be further developed and marketed under the Terex site in Lentigione, Italy, which currently manufactures Terex addition to heavy-load forklift trucks. CVS will fulfill current supply contracts with its existing customers. At the same time, TPS is taking all necessary measures to quickly integrate the new products in its sales, R&D, production and service activities.
ICTSI Subic Gets More Equipment
Subic Bay International Container Terminal Corp. (SBITC) recently received and commissioned three new reach stackers and 16 new Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors. The additional capacity has increased the terminal tractor fleet to 23 units or 128 percent. The reach stacker fleet, meanwhile, increased by 100 percent. Each terminal tractor is equipped with a vehicle mounted terminal that communicates directly with the terminal operating system, Navis. The integration of Keppel Corporation’s offshore and marine businesses has contributed to a $16 million (S$29 million) swamp barge contract clinched as a result of the synergy of the offshore and specialised shipbuilding divisions. Furthermore, with the integration and Keppel’s sharper focus on specialised shipbuilding, especially support vessels, the offshore and marine group has also won a new contract worth S$21 million from Keppel Smit Towage for three 60-ton tugs which are due for delivery in mid 2003. These tugs, a utility boat and two terminal tractor tugs, will be deployed by Keppel Smit Towage in Brunei for charter to Brunei Shell Petroleum Company.
