The U.S. Coast Guard is monitoring a damaged Chinese cargo ship, which will make an unscheduled stop in Hawaii on Monday. Bad weather created a 56-in. hole in the ship's hull, the Coast Guard said. The vessel is about 70 miles west-southwest of Oahu. Navy dive teams went underwater to patch the hole and found that so far no pollution is leaking into the water, officials said.
