Savannah River LNG Navigation Regs Amended

The U.S. Coast Guard is amending the regulated navigation area (RNA) on the Savannah River to improve traffic flow during liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankship transits. The change will allow vessels greater than 1600 gross tons to transit the area during LNG tankship transits, provided they come no closer than two nautical miles to the LNG tankship. The change comes into effect on May 20, 2004. 69 Fed. Reg. 21067 (HK Law)
