The Marine Propulsion Course this autumn is almost sold out. •     Module 5: Matching Propulsion Engine and Propulsor
(11-12 December) This module uses the knowledge gained in previous modules to discuss the basic matching problem and introduces concepts such as sea margin, engine margin and light running margin. The transformation of a ship’s resistance curve to the load curve, as experienced by the propulsion engines, is also discussed.
