Northern Sea Freight Traffic Volumes Surge

In 2015, the volume of freight traffic along the Northern Sea Route has increased by 1.2 million tons and amounted to 5.1 million tonnes.

According to him, the terms of reference for the preparation of the concept has already been formed.

Oleg Roy added that the development plan for the Northern Sea Route involves pooling transport complexes of Chukotka Autonomous District, the Magadan Region, Kamchatka and Primorsky Krai. This transit will transit point port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. "In the future we plan to create an international trade route - it will include the Northern Sea Route, the Lena River, the BAM will provide outputs on the Trans-Siberian."
