VT Halter Marine Partners With Homeland Security

Pascagoula, Miss. – VT Halter Marine Inc. (VT Halter Marine), a subsidiary of VT Systems Inc. (VT Systems), announced that it has become a member of the IMAGE program with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers (IMAGE) provides businesses an opportunity to partner with the agency to develop a more secure and stable work force.

Through its participation in the IMAGE program, VT Halter Marine establishes a formal partnership with law enforcement to follow best hiring practices, as the program suggests, and to implement staff training to comply with the high standards required by the program. In addition, the participation enables VT Halter Marine to use tools offered by the federal government to screen employees, such as E-Verify, which ensures that they are lawfully authorized to work in the US.
