According to AP, Salvage teams have rescued 11 crew members from a Russian cargo ship that sank in stormy conditions in the Sea of Japan, while six others were still missing, officials said Wednesday. The Sinegorye, laden with timber destined for China, went under water Monday in a heavy storm and strong winds. Russia's Transport Ministry said that six sailors were rescued early Wednesday by South Korean rescue ships, adding to five who had been recovered earlier. One sailor has been found dead. Of those who were rescued Wednesday, five were removed from a raft and the sixth sailor was saved from water, the ministry said. The search for those missing is continuing, it added.
