ABS Nautical Systems Signs Two New Contracts in Greece

Marcon Announces Sale of "Orion Pioneer"
Marcon International, Inc. of Coupeville, Washington announced the sale of the U.S. flag oilfield supply boat "Orion Pioneer" (ex-Orion Star, Acoustic Pioneer, September Morn) from WesternGeco Overseas Inc. to private buyers. The vessel was originally built in 1981 by Halter Marine, Inc. as a standard design 180' x 40' x 14' depth supply vessel for Levy-Mellon Marine of Patterson, Louisiana to use in the Gulf of Mexico market. The vesselsâ operator, SEACOR Marine, is a progressive company that pioneered the use of fast catamarans in the offshore industry with the commissioning of SEACOR Cheetah in January 2008, and SEACOR Cougar in April 2009. The operator intends to push the boundaries even further with these larger, faster vessels, by offering increased capacity and comfort.

Deep Submersible Consultancy Contract Awarded
OceanWorks International has been awarded phases 1 and 2 of a 3 phase contract by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) to assist with the re-certification of life support systems on the Deep Submergence Vehicle Alvin (DSV Alvin).
