Bristol Harbor Group Designs Offshore Oil Towboat
Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. designs towboat in support of offshore oil field development in Alaska. Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI), of Bristol, RI, was contracted by Northern Maritime Logistics, LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, for the design of both a towboat and the bow ramp for a new, USCG Inspected deck barge. Both vessels have been put into service use on the North Slope of Alaska, servicing Nikaitchuq Island in support of oil field development.

Ingalls Delivers USCG National Security Cutter
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (NYSE: HII) said its Ingalls Shipbuilding division delivered the third National Security Cutter to the U.S. Coast Guard. A shipboard ceremony officially transferred ownership of Stratton (WMSL 752) from Ingalls to the Coast Guard. Alaris Helps USCG "Go Green"
Alaris Companies (Alaris) is helping the U.S. Coast Guard to decrease energy use and greenhouse gas emissions with its fleet energy management program. Working under a previously announced Michael Baker Jr., Inc (Baker) Department of Homeland Security - Coast Guard contract for Architect / Engineering Services, engineers from Alaris completed an assessment and report for the 110-ft Patrol Boat (WPB) and 225-ft Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB) class of cutters.

Ingalls Starts Fabrication on USCG Cutter
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (NYSE:HII) said that its Ingalls Shipbuilding division celebrated the "start of fabrication" of the U.S. Coast Guard's fourth National Security Cutter, Hamilton (WMSL 753). The shipbuilding milestone signifies that 100 tons of steel have been cut and fabricated utilizing a robotic plasma arc cutting machine at Ingalls' steel fabrication complex. Ingalls received the $480 million contract to build Hamilton in November 2010.
Crowley's ATB Vision/650-10 Ready to Deliver
Designed to deliver petroleum products on the U.S. West Coast, the vessel is designed with safer, more efficient fixed-tank cleaning system. Crowley Maritime Corporation's Vision/650-10, the last of 10 Articulated Tug Barges (ATBs) in the 650-series new-build program, has been delivered by V.T. Halter Marine in Pascougla, Miss. The ATB is now ready to enter service and will transport petroleum products between U.S. West Coast ports.

The Glosten Associates announces completion of a feasibility study for Washington State Ferries (WSF) on converting its 144-car ferry design to liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion.
