Port of Rotterdam Reconfigures Cargo Traffic Scheme
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is going to redirect approximately 4km of the port (or first) section of the Betuwe Route. As a result, the railway line will no longer run over the Caland Bridge, so that shipping and rail traffic will cease to get in each other’s way from 2020 onwards. It will also bring an end to the noise nuisance caused by the rail track near the village of Rozenburg. Construction of the new route will cost around €275 million.
Sherwin-Williams Bags Steel Tank Institute Award

Palfinger Dreggen to Rebuild BOP Cranes for Statoil
Statoil has awarded Palfinger Dreggen a contract for the complete rebuild and upgrade of six blowout preventer (BOP) cranes for the Gullfaks field in the northern part of the Norwegian North Sea. Each of the BOP cranes to be delivered from Palfinger Dreggen will have the capacity to lift 2 x 20 tons. Custom Engine Room Simulator for RAN
The Commonwealth of Australia (CoA), Department of Defence has contracted Kongsberg Maritime to develop and deliver a new K-Sim Engine simulator model to the Royal Australian Navy’s HMAS Cerberus training facility located south of Melbourne, Australia. The new model will run on the existing KONGSBERG K-Sim Engine desktop simulator delivered to HMAS Cerberus in 2013, which is maintained under a Long Term System Support Program (LTSSP) agreement signed in 2015.

Damen Shiprepair Dunkerque is assisting DFDS Seaways, northern Europe’s largest shipping and logistics company, in a major refit and rebranding program, with five vessels successfully completed so far.
