On Thursday 24th May, AXSMarine unveiled AXSDry4.0, a software to replace their current widely used AXSDry software, by hosting Launch parties in London and Singapore.

On May 24th 2012, AXSMarine officially launched AXSDry4.0. The invitation only event gathered over 300 guests from the dry bulk industry. Companies who attended include Benline, BRS, Cargill, GFI, ICAP, Kline bulk, Navico, Noble, Oldendorff, Raffles, SSY and many other important players from the shipping industry. Held in two new trendy places, The Exchange (Singapore) and The Oyster Shed (London), the events gave guests the opportunity for a first look at the revamped chartering system.

Recognizing the information challenges dry bulk professionals face, AXSMarine is delivering a new version of its ASXDry software, which enables organizations to better manage their commercial chartering information, with access to extensive embedded databases, allowing users to analyse it all with ease. The new software brings seamless navigation and improved features. It was completely revised to provide users with a simplified & more intuitive interface - and an even more user-friendly experience.

In addition to the enhancements to modules provided today, AXSDry4.0 brings two new optional features that meet current chartering needs. Subscribers struggling with thousands of e-mails per day can truly benefit from AXSReader, a new auto-e-mail updater. The system automatically recognizes email text and updates vessel positions into clients database views, with a proven 90+% recognition rate. Among payable options are the adjustment of the remaining ~10% by AXSMarine’s specialised team.

The other highly anticipated feature is embedded AIS information, which allows users to see live vessel positions and port traffic, compare AIS with commercial positions, and have a better market overview. AXSMarine sources its data under commercial agreement from Vessel Tracker (www.vesseltracker.com) and exactEarth (www.exactearth.com ), both leading providers of AIS information.

All these new capabilities include AXSMarine’s high-value integral databases for vessels, ports and distance.
