Bahamas Florida Express Selects MAP Solution

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

October 9, 2003

VNS International began implementing its Marine Administration and Planning (MAP) Solution for HMS - Bahamas Florida Express (BFE), fast ferry operating between Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas. The MAP Solution will provide BFE an integrated management solution for its reservations and guest management needs. The solution will include the following MAP modules: reservations, online reservations, point of sale, shore excursions, access control, guest management, and cargo and vehicle management. VNS will also provide consulting, training, and implementation services. The MAP Solution is designed for full visibility of passenger activity. Because the modules are designed utilizing the same database, BFE will be able to track online reservations, embarkation, onboard point of sale activities, and disembarkation real-time. And since the MAP Solution is thin client, access to the system and management reports can be viewed from anywhere with internet access. "We are ecstatic about the value proposition VNS has brought to the table", said George Bradley, Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of BFE. "Never before have we had the ability to calculate the total value of the guest. And we are confident that the integrated solution will be easier to use for our employees and will make the reservation and embarkation process easier for our guests. We evaluated other solutions in the marketplace and VNS had the most intriguing solution out there and at the same time was cost effective." "We are very pleased that the Bahamas Florida Express has chosen VNS", said Benjamin Keeley, CEO of VNS. "We have made great strides in the reservations and ticketing modules and I believe that the MAP Solution is the most comprehensive and innovative marine solution available in the marketplace today. The MAP Hosted Solution addresses the start-up nature of businesses today. The pay as you grow pricing model is very competitive and we expect that part of our business to really soar in the future."
