The 4,600 square-foot facility includes a 1,400 square-foot product showroom that will display the wide range of distinctive marine products and services provided by Southco Marine. The new Florida facility will also be used for product and application training, sales support, customer seminars and new product development. “We chose this location to be in closer proximity to our marine industry customers and to provide an unmatched level of service to boat builders,” said Richard Hipp, general manager of Southco Marine. “Our focus and commitment is to work in partnership with the marine industry around the world, understanding their unique needs and providing a wide range of innovative products and customer support.” “We believe that this new Florida facility will quickly become a valuable resource for the marine industry, where boat builders will have access to the suite of offerings from Southco Marine that focus on the look, feel, performance needs and style of the boat,” said Hipp. According to Hipp, the product training to be offered at the Florida facility will include a formal, structured “Southco Marine Certified” program covering the full range of relevant offerings available from Southco Marine. Hipp adds that those technical associates and marine consultants who become certified will add tremendous value within the boat building marketplace, further supporting Southco Marine’s consultative one-stop sourcing for distinctive marine products and services.
