Transocean's Latest Rig Fleet Update
New contracts, significant changes to existing contracts, and changes in estimated planned out-of-service time of 15 or more days since April 18, 2013 are included.
Highlights are as follows:
- Deepwater Millennium - Awarded a two-year contract for work offshore Australia at a dayrate of $605,000 ($442 million estimated contract backlog). The rig's prior dayrate was $545,000.
- Estimated 2013 out-of-service time increased by a net 117 days, including 89 days due to shipyard acceleration into 2013 from 2014 and contract preparation on the Deepwater Millennium.
- Transocean John Shaw - Awarded a one-year contract extension for work in the U.K. sector of the North Sea at a dayrate of $415,000 ($151 million estimated contract backlog). The rig's prior dayrate was $360,000.
- Jack Bates - Awarded a three-well contract for work offshore Australia at a dayrate of $525,000 ($47 million contract backlog). The rig's prior dayrate was $380,000.
- Falcon 100 is currently idle.
Transocean report that the the value of new contracts or extensions since the April 18, 2013 fleet status report is approximately $662 million.
