Marine Travelift Hoist Installed by Amarin

Spain's Almarin provides a 50T Marine Travelift for Puerto Deportivo de Benalmádena at short notice

Puerto Deportivo Benalmádena, had an urgent requirement for a new travelift as their existing travelift dated from the 1980’s and was not up to the requirements of the boatyard. Benalmádena approached Almarin, who sourced a used 50 BFM (year 2001) travelift from stock.

Almarin provided a complete turnkey service, installing the new machine and dismantling and removing the old machine.

Puerto Deportivo de Benalmádena opted for the speed and economy of a used unit as a provisional solution until the current expansion program is carried out.

Almarin say that the option of a used unit in many cases makes more sense than a new one, such as when short lead times are required or when a low capital intensive solution is the best option to test a new business model.

The used unit market is active and Marine Travelift claims their hoists retain their value, minimizing loss to depreciation and making the machine easily sellable one, two or three years down the road.

Almarin, based in Barcelona, manufactures, distributes and supplies industrial equipment for specific applications such as aids to navigation, obstruction lighting, boat handling and dry storage, as well as industrial gantries.
