The maritime software development company SDSD are launching a new web based VSnP - Vessel Sale and Purchase module, enabling Sale and Purchase brokers to buy and sell vessels from anywhere via a smartphone or tablet.

VSnP can improve brokers’ trading margins through key features including powerful search and data retrieval, fast matching commercial advices and purchase inquiries, vessel matching with the IHS database or the users’ proprietary data, vessel value and market statistics, plus sales and valuation modules.

Tony Odegbaro, CEO commented: “Having focussed for 30 years on desktop software for brokers, the VSnP’s cloud based architecture enables us to offer new applications cheaply and easily  to our users who rely on smartphones and tablets to complete daily tasks and trade while on the move”.

VSnP is currently being used by early adopter clients in Greece and the UK and the company are now promoting the new module to SnP brokers worldwide.

Chris Jackson, Senior Partner at London based SnP brokers RJ Shipping Ltd who are using the software commented: “Brokers at smaller companies spend most of their time working remotely and a web based system is perfect for those who also are on the move a lot.”

Tony Odegbaro added: “There are no upfront hardware costs, making VSnP a great tool for brokers looking for a powerful yet cost effective tool.”

SDSD are currently working on a Chartering version which the company plan to roll out to clients later in the year.
