Video: Sick Cruise Ship Passenger Medevaced

On Saturday, the U.S. Coast Guard medevaced a man suffering from stomach pains from a cruise ship 80 miles east of Charleston, S.C.

The cruise ship Adventure of the Sea contacted Coast Guard Sector Charleston watchstanders stating a passenger was in need of emergency care.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Savannah launched and arrived at 7:30 p.m., hoisted the passenger and transported him to Medical University South Carolina for further care.
