Raymarine New C-Series Widescreen
Raymarine, Inc. introduced its new line of C-Series Widescreen Multifunction Displays (MFDs) to the U.S. market. The new MFDs expand the power of multifunction navigation with larger, higher resolution displays, increased performance, expanded networking and video integration.
Widescreen technology offers more viewing area and larger split window configurations, enabling boaters to view more navigation data, increasing situational awareness while navigating the open waters.
The C-Series Widescreen line is available in three sizes of sunlight viewable color displays: the 9" C90W, the 12" C120W and the 14" C140W. Perfect for center consoles, cruisers and sailing yachts, the new features offered with the C-Series Widescreen enable boaters to:
The theater-like widescreen display lets captains view more navigation data, such as charting, radar, fishfinder, weather and video simultaneously on a single display without compromising usability. In addition, the highly customizable C-Series Widescreen user interface lets captains split the screen in multiple window combinations.
Engineered to navigate right out of the box, the C-Series Widescreen features a highly sensitive GPS sensor built right into the display housing, eliminating the need for an external GPS in most installations. In addition, the widescreen displays are pre-loaded with Navionics coastal charts of the U.S. Finally, Raymarine's multifunction navigation interface offers intuitive soft keys for frequently used navigation functions, and the new UniControl(TM) combined cursor and rotary control simplifies menu operation and feature selections.
Boaters can expand the capabilities of the C-Series Widescreen with Raymarine's SeaTalkhs network sensors for HD digital radar and fishfinders. The SeaTalkhs networking protocol allows boaters to connect a second C-Series Widescreen display either at the same location on the helm or as a full function remote station. The easy-to-manage interface lets boaters view SIRIUS Satellite weather maps and data as well as tune into SIRIUS radio stations directly from the C-Series Widescreen display. An AIS receiver can also be integrated for added safety in busy waterways as well as a unique Buddy Tracking feature, which keeps tabs on friendly AIS targets. C-Series Widescreen also includes a video input to integrate entertainment sources, such as satellite television or marine cameras to keep tabs on the crew and assist with blind spots while docking.
The C-Series Widescreen provides boaters with the high definition (HD) experience right at their helm. Optically bonded LCD display technology produces beautiful color, contrast and a wide viewing angle with resolutions of up to 1280 x 800, producing high definition navigation views. A powerful graphics coprocessor delivers stunning 3D chart graphics and video while Raymarine's exclusive HD Digital(TM) signal processing technology, utilized in both radar and fishfinder sensors, delivers unmatched performance and fully automatic operation. Boaters can choose from a broad range of high performance radar antenna options with advanced features like radar/chart overlay, MARPA target tracking and dual range radar, as well as Raymarine's Digital Radomes or high performance HD and Super HD Digital open array antennas.
