Yang Ming Enhances Network

Taiwanese ocean shipping company Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has announced new China-Thailand direct service and Thailand - Indonesia express service.

Under the impact of rising global trade tensions, a relocation and adjustment of cargo flow and supply chains is expected. To cope with this trend, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. continuously strengthens its Asian service network as well as the quality of Asian routes.

Yang Ming has announced the launch of a new Intra-Asia service, China-Thailand Service (CTX service). The first sailing is scheduled for July 12th 2019, departing from Shanghai.

A total of three container ships with loadable capacity of 1,200 TEU will be deployed for CTX service, of which one is contributed by Yang Ming. The ports of call are Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, Shanghai. A round trip will take 21 days.

Through vessel deployment and slot exchange cooperation, Yang Ming provides a total of 7 services in Thailand. In addition to CTX service, the others are China-Vietnam/Thailand Service (CTS service), Japan-Thailand Service (JTC service), South East Asia V (SE5 service), Thailand-Indonesia Express (ITS service), Japan-Thailand Express service (JTX Service) and North China-Thailand Service (NCT service).

Meanwhile, in light of ASEAN’s bright economic prospects and stable business growth in Southeast Asia, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp.(Yang Ming) continuously enhances its Southeast Asia service network. Yang Ming announced the launch of TIX service (Thailand - Indonesia Service) effective from July 27th, 2019.

The TIX service will call at Laem Chabang, Singapore, Jakarta. It will directly link Laem Chabang with Jakarta and Singapore, and provide an easy connection with Yang Ming’s global service network via Singapore.

With the new TIX service that complements its existing Southeast Asia services include SE5, SE8, ITS, RCX, RSE, SS1, SSX and SYX, Yang Ming will offer a total of nine services in the area and provide customers with more convenient and comprehensive delivery service.

"Yang Ming continues to enhance its Intra-Asia service network to provide customers with better and more comprehensive services," said a press release.
