Northrop Grumman Makes New Appointment

Northrop Grumman Corporation has appointed Ann Fortenberry vice president of trades management, training and development for the company's Ship Systems sector, effective March 20. In her new assignment, Fortenberry will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of workforce supply-chain strategies; managing ship-programs workforce allocations; developing workforce training programs to meet skill, quality and performance requirements; and assessing the long-term needs of the production workforce and supervision to meet future-construction strategic requirements. Fortenberry began her career at Ingalls Shipbuilding (acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2001) in 1969 and has over 35 years of human resources experience including 20 years in management. She has taken part in several company efforts including shipyard business integration, sector strategic planning, and Hurricane Katrina response and recovery.
