Bergesen Sells Tanker For Scrap

Bergesen d.y. sold its 284,520 dwt Berge Prince tanker for scrap, estimated to give a book profit of around $3 million in the first quarter of 2000. The ship, built in 1973, was expected to be delivered around mid January. The buyer was not named. Bergesen sold its 289,980 dwt Berge Big tanker for scrap last week, expected to give a book profit of about $4 million in the first quarter.
