Bollinger Returns after Gustav

Bollinger Shipyards returns 95 percent of its 14 locations back to work following Hurricane Gustav's plowing through the heart of the based shipyard community. According to Bollinger’s website, all but two locations are back up and running, with several locations on generators with supervisory staff only. The corporate office, located in , is on generators and is coordinating the efforts of the 3000 member workforce.

Bollinger is working with the local and state authorities to insure the safe return of their employees and shipyard services to the Oil and Gas community, said Robert Socha, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing. We are communicating with our employees over the web, via local radio, telephone and community interaction.

Effective Friday, September 5, 2008 the following Bollinger facilities are open: Bollinger Calcasieu Repair, Bollinger Algiers, Bollinger Quick Repair, Bollinger Larose, Bollinger Lockport Corporate, Bollinger Morgan City, Bollinger Amelia Repair, Bollinger Fourchon, Bollinger Texas City. Bollinger Lockport Machine Shop will reopen Friday, September 5th.

Bollinger Lockport Repair and Bollinger Lockport New Construction are still without power, but supervisors should report to work on Friday, September 5th.

Bollinger Marine Fabricators and Bollinger Gretna Machine are still not fully operational, but essential personnel should report as directed by the facility manager.

Bollinger St Rose is scheduled to have power and reopen on Friday, September 5th. Bollinger St Rose Employees should call the BSR main office (504-466-7705) to verify.

CHAND is scheduled to have power and reopen on Friday, September 5th. CHAND Employees should call the CHAND main office (985-532-2512) to verify.
