Canarias Multinautica Gains IMCI Certification

Canarias Multinautica S.L. located in the Canary Island has been successfully certified by IMCI in all four required business certification areas: boat specialized trade, accessories specialized trade, boat service specialized trade, engine sales and service specialized trade (three levels).

The certification of Canarias Multinautica S.L. was commissioned on behalf of Yanmar.

IMCI has an advanced corporate certification approach which focuses on quality. Compliance is regularly checked using clearly defined objectives. The quality catalogue has a total of approximately 200 individual criteria standards including about 90 mandatory requirements which have to be fulfilled. The additional performance criteria points are collected in order to reach the specified and minimum number of required points. To this end, each company gets audited by an IMCI Inspector. A corporate certification is the successful verification of a company using a set of criteria checked by a neutral certification body. In addition, this process is regulated by an EN standard. Undoubtedly, the most commonly known is certification to EN ISO 9000 ff. These are standards that describe the principles of quality management measures for a system certification. Through carefully documented processes within an organization, it is ensured that the objectives of quality management can be achieved. Thus the operational procedures are certified as opposed to the quality itself.
