ClassNK 2011 Edition of Class Rules

April 7 (Tokyo) - ClassNK is pleased to announce the release of the 2011 edition of the ClassNK Rules.

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve the safety of life and property at sea and protect the marine environment, ClassNK constantly updates and amends its rules to reflect results of its latest independent research, damage analysis, amendments to international conventions and regulations, and requests from the maritime industry. These amendments are compiled each year, and a revised edition of the rules is released each spring.

This year’s edition of the rules includes numerous amendments reflecting the results of ClassNK’s independent research and analysis, as well as the changing requirements of the maritime industry, including the following:
