Tuco Debuts New Fast Rescue Craft Design
Tuco Marine Group has introduced a new 7.5-meter ProZero fast rescue craft (FRC) design as part of the carbon fiber constructed ProZero boat line.
The highly specialized FRC market is one where weight saving benefits of the ProZero design can make a difference to the market standards, Tuco said, adding that it slow-weight rescue craft results in a faster rescue craft with larger operational range and extended working time on sea.
FRCs are often used as offshore recue crafts, primarily deployed from larger motherships. The new FRC will feature a single point hoist system, as well as single water jet installation and can be fitted with a twin water jet propulsion.
Tuco said it has worked closely with FRC customers to ensure that the vessel will fit the demands of the growing market. End users have therefore been closely involved in the design and layout of the FRC. Tuco also noted that the ProZero 7.5-meter FRC was designed with reliability and flexibility in mind, allowing for a high degree of customization according to customer demands without compromising the overall reliability.
“The module based design makes it possible for us to give our customers a product, that can be customized according to their needs and with a relatively short delivery time compared to the market average, still keeping the high level of reliability that we strive for,” said Managing Director at Tuco, Jonas Pedersen.
Tuco Marine´s ProZero range offers custom design features such as multiple choice wheel houses and steering consoles. Furthermore it is possible to build the vessels of the ProZero series in different lengths and in different widths from a range of standard hull designs.
The 7.5-meter FRC will soon be followed up by sisters of different sizes: new 6.5- and 8.5-meter versions are planned.
