DMA Joins Polar Fish Trade Fair in Greenland

The Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) participates in Polar Fish 2018 in Sisimiut, Greenland. Focus will be on guidance and information about safety, requirements for ships and the Danish Register of Shipping.

Saftety first - The Danish Maritime Authority has been running a campaign aimed at fishermen throughout the summer to get full focus on safety. This year's Polar Fish Fair will follow this campaign.

The Danish Maritime Authority cooperate with authorities and private customers in Greenland. At the fair, focus is on meeting customers and providing guidance and information which can ease the registration process for Greenlandic shipowners. Focus is also on providing information about safety at sea and the process regarding ship surveys.

Polar Fish is a national fishing and trade fair which is held from September 21 to September 23, 2018.  The Danish Maritime Authority participates with ship surveyors and the Danish Ship Register to inform Greenlandic shipowners about safety and ship registration.
