Luncheon speakers at the Houston event will show attendees how they can drive valuable performance improvements at waterborne terminals.

PortVision, a provider of business intelligence solutions for the maritime industry, will host its second complimentary educational luncheon for marine terminal management, and the first to be held in the Houston area. The event will take place on Thursday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Houston-Downtown hotel.

“Our first event in New Orleans was extremely successful and we are looking forward to meeting with marine terminal managers in the Houston area who are responsible for operations, management or performance improvement,” said Dean Rosenberg, president.  “Event attendees will be able to use what they learn at this event to immediately increase the performance and efficiency of their marine terminal facilities.”

PortVision’s series of educational events focuses on current trends and challenges, new ways to streamline operations, and tactics for reducing costs, increasing visibility and enhancing business intelligence. Each luncheon includes roundtable discussions about current trends in terminal management, as well as hands-on demonstrations of PortVison’s TerminalSmart enterprise platform and its dock management module, which extends TerminalSmart to enable complete management of waterborne terminal docks. Attendees will also learn how they can use real-time vessel movement data to access historical vessel-tracking information for better incident response and to avoid commercial disputes, reduce demurrage expense and gain valuable insights from vessel-related business intelligence.
