Evergreen Changes Pacific Schedules

Evergreen announced changes to its Pacific Coast/ Far East services in order to improve transit times and benefit customer service requirements between Asia and U.S. and Canadian ports and inland points. This week, the U. S. West Coast/Japan, Korea Service (KJW service) which utilizes 1,810-TEU "L" type vessels will call at Los Angeles and Portland on both inbound and outbound legs but will discontinue calls at Vancouver and Tacoma.

The new rotation is Hakata, Pusan, Yokkaichi, Shimizu, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Portland and commences with the Ever Lyric, voyage 0050-169E, arriving Los Angeles on April 17.

Additionally, the U.S. West Coast/Hong Kong, Taiwan Service, (HTW service) known as the "Far East Express" with 5,300+ TEU "U" type vessels will change its rotation, adding calls at Pusan, Vancouver and Tacoma, but omitting Portland. This will reduce the westbound transpacific transit to 12 days. The first vessel will be the Ever Urban, voyage 0100-003E, arriving Los Angeles on April 13. The new rotation is Pusan, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Oakland, Vancouver, Tacoma, Tokyo.
